I think that Bitcoin could really improve the economy of a country. But it depends on how government people or politicians would handle this kind of business very well. If they would just use their power and connections just for the sake of them being rich then I would say it would not make our economy improve because they would just improve theirselves. But if they would handle it like they really wanted to end world poverty and be sincere about helping people and the economy of the community then I guess I would have to say it's really a miracle who would ever be a government politician would be that kind of people.

Absolutely yes, by decreasing the number of unemployed it really helps the country developing the economy !
It is very much difficult to comment on it right now. But we can always hope for the best. If we talk about present scenario, Bitcoin without any doubt is helping the investors to earn more but as far as economy of a country is concerned, Bitcoin will play a vital role in that too in near future.

This is a bit off-topic as it is not necessarily pertaining to the economy per se. But Something that really amazes me about bitcoin is the ability to restore power and control to people over their own money. Something that has continuously stuck with me is the ability for people in underdeveloped countries to be able to receive bitcoin on the blockchain, with something as simple as a smart phone.
I know that there is more to overall acceptance in a country than the ability to receive bitcoin, but it at least stagnates oppression.
I also love how these same people in underdeveloped countries don’t have to go to money transferring locations and risk robbery or having to pay fees to armed gangs who charge ’fees ’ for people getting their own money.

I believe it can. Perhaps more precisely citizens who use bitcoin, because they have opportunity to earn more income. Which certainly has an effect on condition of contrys economy better. Welfare charts growing and people's purchasing power is increasing by reason of income earned from bitcoin.
The ability to earn more income is not necessarily linked to the usage of Bitcoin. Bitcoin just facilitates trade. Thinking of the current high transaction fees, Bitcoin's utility even in that aspect has come down.
Bitcoin can not improve the economy of the country, because it will simply replace other currencies, but people's actions will still remain the same as they were before the use of bitcoin.
You are quite distressed with the lower state of your country's economy, I guess. Dude, stay positive and believe in bitcoins. They do have potential of replacing other currencies but are also creating new jobs for unemployed, depressed people and when everyone will be working hard, it will automatically stabilize the economy finally.When it is widely believe that bitcoin has the potential to improve the financial status of an individual person, why not it cannot improve a country's economy growth.
there's no connection between having alot of bitcoin and improvement of the community, first of all even though you have a lot of bitcoin or earn a lot of bitcoin the government can't charge you tax and from it they will no going to earn tax to improve the country.
Second if you want to help your country by donating your bitcoin not all of the retailers will gonna accept your bitcoin since they didn't know what's it and what it's value.
But if you can convert your bitcoin to your local currency then i think there's a chance that it can improve the country.

Estonia want to try with a national crypto currency, that will give more confidence to bitcoin as a tech.

I'm really skeptic, why? Because most of the money "disappears" from cash to online and this through the cryptocurrencies which the banks and/or the government can't track.
This is one of the thing to avoid taxes and transaction fees that goes usually through the banks and other bank fees that in cryptoworld doesn't exists.
