That's impossible, because the petro dollar and the big USA industry complex are too big.

I think it's possible theoretically only. People are not ready to stop using banks. Peer-to-peer system is like something mythical to them.

The most people would not it understand it also its to difficult to get people to start using the bitcoin, plus its also that they do not know the system.
I think it will possible in the future because everything is gonna be digital in the future so.

Yes, anything is possible in future, if the world goes digital, then people would use more bitcoins rather then depending upon the banks, but again banks will also survive and won't get disappear.

Bitcoin will never reach world domination. Hopefully it will be widely accepted, but I can't imagine any countries using bitcoin as their official currency. Just because they can not control it. Bank will be needed, however I do think banks will adopt much of the technology.
yeah, i also think so. it would be better if bitcoin and banks work together, it would be better both

There was nothing said about btc and banks working together.
Hopefully they never do, not that it needs much hope because they never will.
A decentralized btc is not something banks are going to even attempt to work with and it would be worse for both not better.
As above said as long as it becomes even more widely accepted banks are not needed but they have nothing to fear from btc and they will never disappear unless forced to.
I think like that, banks and bitcoin never worked together and I also do not agree if it happens because it can make a lot of difference in bitcoin, and bitcoin will be controlled by the bank and can not be free anymore.
That is true. But I dont think it possible to disappear a bank. Many people use banks and that is really important for them.
I think the older people dont even know what Bitcoins is and what you can do with it and that is the problem.

It will make a big difference if the banks got involved.
I would hang about for a year or two after the news they was getting involved because the pump would be epic!
I'd only be hanging around for the $ though at that point because it would lack what made it great.
Not only the older people don't know what btc is but 95+% of the world do not know what btc is.
I for one need banks at this present time as most people who have families do, they're not going anywhere snd if they do chaos will soon follow  Cheesy

In my opinion the current bitcoin system and shape can not completely make banks disappear or change the economical system in such a way, I think they may coexist together and each cover a part of the financial field.

Bitcoin is definitely changing the world and banking industry too. Banks are powerfull and they using technology for great profit. Bitcoin will not make banks disappear, they are so dominating.
This is painful truth and we cannot do anything about that.
Relax and enjoy trading and using bitcoin, and be satisfied this is already victory!
Bitcoin is well known on internet.

Curious aside:
Out of the last 4 posts, we have users advertising a gambling website, a (camwhoring?) porn website, and a bitcoin mixer (money-laundering website).
Some serious potential here Smiley

And you are talking off-topic...

That's what "Curious aside" means, yeah. Ur smart.

Yeah banks are still safer then bitcoins at a moment, and the reason is people have more trust on banks as compared to bitcoins, as they view bitcoin as a new technology and it will require some more time to have faith on.

I hope banks will provide service based on Bitcoin. I would trust more on banks than the Coinbase or Bitstamp.

For me no because bank still safe than bitcoin because bitcoin has a possible to hack and bitcoin value is not stable so its impossible that the banks will be disappear because of bitcoin... do you think guys if you forgot the password or you accidentally deleted your password in your laptop you can recover your account for me no so banks and atm's is always safe than bitcoin..

People lose more money every year stored in their bank accounts and atms as compared to Bitcoins, the only bitcoins that get stolen are because of either carelessness in handing private keys or investing in scams.

If we save the money in the "bitcoin banks", will that have the similar effect of being stolen like the fiat?
I do agree with those who are in favor of banks and atm's since bitcoin is not that safe in terms of losing password or forgetting the information where as banks and atm are quite safe enough when it comes to money.

No bitcoin can't make banks dissapear. Physical banks can dissapear, yes that's true but bitcoin won't be the reason that this will happen.
You're still going to need fiat if you're country hasn't adapted to bitcoin yet, so you will always need to exchange.

Yeah, bitcoin will be more powerful in future, but it cannot make banks disappear, as the majority of the population is dependent of banks and they would never choose bitcoins over the banks.

Yes, you are right but this issue is even more complicate.
The power of national currencies depends on many factors including the strength of the economy, national exports, services etc.
Bitcoin is not the local currency but global virtual currency and can't be easily linked to national economies.
Countries borrow money from national and international banks and repay loans in these currencies and companies depend on banks to.
Since bitcoin is decentralized and don't have central bank, it's not possible that bitcoin ever replace banks.
Bitcoin will remain alternative currency.

It does have the potential to eradicate Banks and take over, but it is possible only when people will themselves give some pressure on Governments to let them (people) allow to use Bitcoins, and so one day, the price of BTC will be decided globally and remember, at that time, you won't be able to make any profits trading BTC as BTC will be very high in values...
