many people agree that bitcoin will not make the bank disappear, the only thing that is probably bitcoin will compete with the bank in the future, and this will start happening in this year, but some events will determine how long and how far bitcoin will make the bank feel bad about the presence of bitcoin.

It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."

What's your read on that?

For me banks will not literally disappear instead maybe bitcoin will just go above them because there are some people who are more comfortable in bank rather than bitcoin or vice versa. Because banking system is what the people use to use after the trading system is gone. It will still depend on the peoples choice.

What I foresee is that banks will tend to adopt the use of bitcoin and even encourage customers to bank in accounts with bitcoin wallets. Just like we have bitcoin wallets with different providers, banks will also introduce bitcoin wallets where customers can deposit their bitcoins..Banks system has been made to profit ,always profit thats why we pay 33% of fees when we ask a loan ,this is enougt to cover those loans defaulteds.Bitcoin is no way near to be a problem to banks ,the banks wanna the technology of blockchain to reduce the fees around them, but nothing else, maybe one day they can support bitcoin giving loans and interest the same way they work with fiat.

Yes, there is a possibility that the commercial banks in the whole world can be foreclose because of the continuous progress of bitcoin in the block chain market and having a large amount of demands.

i think that bitcoin and banks are very different. people need the insurance for their investment first of all. bitcoin now means speculation. maybe, some improved version can do this

I think Bitcoin's can't make the banks disappear at least in our nearest future, because banks are having already a very big community using and supporting it's services till now. But in time it's possible that Bitcoin will be used more than banks

Banks will change or go under but they won't go away. They will always find some service to provide that someone else will want to buy

I believe someday bitcoin will be replace the fiat but bank will be exist, as we know that some bank and other economic organization are interested on technlogy behind the bitcoin of course the blockchain, maybe they will build their own cryptocurency, but to adopted bitcoin officially i think it's imposible due to their principal against bitcoin. It might be possible in future but hard to digest that banks can ever get disappear due to any digital currency, as banks are the strongest financial institutions and difficult to get disappeared. The bank is the one holding/ regulating fiat and without the bank the value of fiat that we use will never be determined. I think even if bitcoin became a world currency, bank will stay for some reason.

Banks will never disappear. I firmly believe in a synthesis between traditional banking and blockchain technology

It may cross cut the Bank’s share market value in Finance and world share market. But I don’t think so It will replace the bank completely.i think bank will follow the technology current and maybe in the next generation there will be banks that receive bitcoin, so it can make people to have an easier transaction
I do not think that bitcoin can replace banks. Banks are the means by which the state regulates economic markets. No country will let the national economy out of its control. Bitcoin is decentralized and uncontrolled. Therefore, bit It is impossible for a currency to replace a bank.
Yes, the government need to have the banking system to manage the economy. Actually the nature of Bitcoin is against the banking system. Decentralized network to make the banking system get more troubles to collect more information, data about user and help the world becomes absolutely private, but very transparent.

Perhaps the current collapse of bitcoin is due to the fact that banks are Strike Back.

Banks are going to end like Toys R Us. The toys are like the middlemen bankers that we won't be needing once people start accepting and using cryptocurrencies on their everyday lives. They are going to close most of their branches and only few will stay operating.

It's a matter of acceptance. That's all. As soon as this happens - BOOM.

I don't think so because many banks are protected by governments and will not dissapear for sure. But at my opinion bitcoin can change banking system.
