I don't think so other small have a chance to be overtaken by their co-banks and bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies to be shutdown by the foremention but as far the other big co mmercial banks I don't think so because they are part of the daily necessities of all business because as we all know business needs cash and they can acquire that through banks loans they can't just rely on funds from the internet we can't hide the fact that money exchange are not accepting bitcoin so if that would happened not just many would be jobless but a lot of businesses are in danger.

I think it will not make banks disappear because people will always look for loans and where to keep their money. Some people invest in bitcoin and at the same time invest in some business so bitcoin is only its alternative and still needed banks.

It can be happen if eveyone all around the world start to using Bitcoin. For using Bitcoin wallet everyone should have a mobile phone. As we all know now a day mostly peoples have mobile phone and everyone start doing small to big transactions by Bitcoin. So it can be possible that Bitcoin can make banks disappear.

I don't think fully. They will coexist, but as long as we have our governments and the current laws, banks will be here. Ruling the fiat currency.  Undecided

I think that statement by the experts is accurate and if not could be accurate come the future. We all think that bitcoin will stick around longer than a few years longer than a fad would because we think it is golden. However

banks arent looked at in such a positive light nor should they be. I think banks will serve only as an intermediary between BTC and fiat come 10 years from now and their role beyond that will be minimized. They may still do

some traditional investments but I expect that number to be decreasing as the years go on and on.

No. But bank can apply bitcoin or blockchain technology to decrease fee and make transaction more transparent.
It's better , but in fact, some are try to against BTC, bank can die if they aren't change.

It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."

What's your read on that?

Lets agree to disagree. Yes bitcoin will have an effect on the banks but bitcoin can never make the banks disappear. Why ? Because bitcoin is just a digital currency , it means that it has a chance to continue and disappear depends on the total of investors and creators of its currency while the bank is already exist in the first place when bitcoin appear in our world.

I doubt bitcoins can beat fiats and the banks that hold them because of one thing: bitcoins and fiat money are two completely different things. One can never beat the other and vice versa. But for me, it reakky depends on the masses' reaction on whether or not bitcoins as a world wide currency, will help ALL of the people, whether poor or rich.
I agree with you but i personally think it cannot defeat banks because banks are made to stay forever and bitcoin is just till its all mined after that no one knows what will happen but the banks are forever and they will stay forever.

In my opinion, nothing is impossible in this world, maybe for now there are still many bank users and while Bitcoin users may still be few.
If someday later people are no longer using the bank, maybe that's where the bank will be replaced and lost,so we just have to trust it and see what happens next.

I think that banks will not completely disappear, but they will have to adapt and implement the use of cryptocurrencies in general.

No, I highly doubt it. Bitcoin is a system that aims to facilitate transactions without the need for a bank. People tend to overlook the fact that anywhere where one transacts value in different forms inevitably forms an economy. There shall be tools and factors that influence this economy to cultivate it. Banks are just one of the factors that influence economy. Banks run within a different kind of economy. Banks are designed to safeguard people’s money, lend the same money to people that need them to collect interest and eventually have the money rotated within to generate maximum value per rotation.

I think it can not because banks have a big influence on a country. Precisely for the future banks will adopt the way bitcoin work by using blockchain.

This is a complicated question. The reason why banks exist is because they can do credit creation (by issuing loans.) This enables a bank to lend out more “money” than reserves (at the central bank and other assets.) Bitcoin is like “gold” and if it becomes more common in everyday transactions it would mean that banks would have to build up bitcoin reserves, in case they start having accounts denominated in bitcoin. This in turn enforces central banks to hold bitcoin in case banks have to be bailed out (if bitcoin becomes very common.)

However, in parallel there’s more development happening around the bitcoin network. Although the bitcoin network cannot handle much transaction volumes, there’s work that enables decentralised high speed transactions using the bitcoin network as a settlement layer. These technologies are named lightning network, lumino, sidechains, etc. This enables high capacity transfers completely outside the banking network. If peer-to-peer lending networks enables alternative ways of people getting loans, then the need for banks may almost diminish. At least how we view “banks” today, i.e. credit creation. These institutions will of course not disappear but transform into something else. Perhaps into something like investment funds.
