I think it might, not right now but maybe one day when it is fully accepted worldwide and we don't have to pay huge fees to banks and other financial institutions to keep/transfer our money from one place to the another.

Not saying it will magically solve world poverty but some people when they pay less for maintaining their funds, they might spend a little more on charities.
Poverty is an over grown global problem, there are a lot of factors that contributes to poverty, like, corruption, war, illiteracy and the unbalance distribution of wealth. Do you think bitcoin can overcome all of these contributory factors? Poverty is like an illness that cannot be treated overnight. It needs a lot of major reconstruction on the economy and market system. Maybe bitcoin can be considered as one of the solution, But it will take a lot more to solve World poverty.

The poor will always be with us. Most of them are too busy putting food on the table to learn cryptocurrency. A lot of the educated rich think of bitcoin as a scam. How can you help them if they have no idea what bitcoin is?

I think that's not true because not all people knows the bitcoin and how can they learn the bitcoin if the people in poor province has no internet connection, computers or maybe electric connection.

Can bitcoin really do anything to solve world poverty problem? Brian Singer certainly thinks so. He thinks that Bitcoin can bring minimum every day earning for people more swiftly than any other economic system.

Is it possible?

It is possible that Bitcoin could end world poverty. If everyone in the world knows and uses Bitcoin it is certain their living economy will be helped and get better after getting to know Bitcoin. Of course this little by little can help to end the poverty of the World.

Nope major part of bitcoin transactions are over exchanges and now bitcoin is more of a speculation stuff these days rather than a groundbreaking innovation.Bitcoin can help reducing poverty only if the people will take it up as a mission to be accomplished.

I would not believe bitcoin would end poverty.  In fact bitcoin is use in illegal transactions like drugs and human trafficking.  How could they end poverty?  Unless the big whales would share their bitcoins. Smiley

Nope, do keep in mind that all currencies are probably used in illegal transactions, yes it may be used as a payment for some illegal doings, but not all of it, and Bitcoin wasn't created to be a currency for illegal transactions.

Nope, Bitcoin is limited and doesn't have the capability to end world poverty. Maybe for some people, but no all.

It feels like the reduction of transactions fee are not enough to end world poverty. Bitcoin can help reducing poverty only if the people will take it up as a mission to be accomplished.

I don't think so. The one who can end the world poverty is the people themselves only with the help of bitcoin. I don't think that poor people can access bitcoin. I think it wilo as long as ALL people around the world knows and are involved and are earning bitcoins. But I think that it won't happen. Bitcoin won't simply make poverty disappear.

People use Bitcoin as their another source to earn money.  For me, Bitcoin cannot end world poverty because you need money to invest in Bitcoin to earn its rewards. If you will earn Bitcoin without using any capital or money, you will only earn just a small amount of money. For me in order to end the poverty, I guess that we should focus on giving them education. If you want to use your earnings in Bitcoin to spend for the sake of education of other people, then that is good. For me, Education can help end world poverty than Bitcoin.
I think bitcoin is nothing to do with the poverty status of the country. Bitcoin is just an instrument to be use by the people around the globe to gain a profit, I think poverty is only depend on us if we are going to work hard as one to get more profit maybe poverty is no place in this world at all.

For me i think no. Because people can end the world poverty if they want to survive in their life they will work hard to get eat 3 times a day. The people who want spoon feeder will not end poverty make work hard to overcome the poverty. Bitcoin for me for work hard people it can help to make earn some money for their daily life to survive.

bitcoin has already provided many people with prosperity, but at the same time there is a downside to those who bought or sold not in time and has a hole in pants or traders with a shoulder with endless debts, there will always be those who have received and those who have lost.

Bitcoin is such a volatile asset. So obviously, there will be winners as well as the losers. We frequently hear the stories about the winners. But the stories of the losers seldom surface. I remember a few. I know that a few investors committed suicide when the Mt Gox exchange went down. And recently, a student in South Korea committed suicide after losing around $200,000 in trading.
