I think it depends on the person who is going through this, if people are no longer interested in btc then btc will not survive, but it is not possible also if being btc. sorry if my opinions are wrong

I don't think parity is possible, meaning that, it's just impossible that both coins have the same price.

So judging from this premise, one of the two coins, will go down, or one of the two coins, will go up while the other one stays where it is at best, or goes down too.

If I had to bet, it's pretty obvious BTC is the winning coin. It has the Core devs on board, it's the legacy chain, and it has segwit which is good, unless you subscribe to the anti-segwit conspiracy theories.

I agree that BTC seems to be winning for now but on the other hand I have a transaction right now which has been stuck since Monday (unconfirmed to be exact) and the fee seemed to be quite appropriate (1,5 USD) when I set it. Transactions with that fee used to be confirmed within minutes before. Well it is just an example, but the same complaints I am hearing everywhere on that forum, so maybe BTC is not the one, after all.

Looking on that issue from another perspective: if BCH were as successful as BTC, with the same user base and number of transactions, maybe the fees would be the same height? Who can tell..

So in the long run I am not so certain on which coin wins. Maybe neither. We'll see on that in nearest future.

Bitcoin will survive as long as there are still person who are using it. Bitcoin will only stop if we stop using it as an online currency. The only thing that can make bitcoin stops or rise its price is us, we the user itself are capable of increasing and decreasing its price through our demand. Our demand and needs of bitcoin is the reason why will bitcoin survive.

Yes, I agree on you. Bitcoin can survive unless internet is exist. As we can see right now, Bitcoin price continue to increase, so it really means it survive on a long period of time. Yes it will survive for sure! More and more people are patronizing bitcoin nowadays. Here in our country most of the money remittance are accepting bitcoin. In this situation, we can say that people here accepted bitcoin in their everyday way of life. This is convince to everybody here, a thing that must survive for the people. I don't know, maybe bitcoin can survive for the next few years. Because now many people and country apply transactions using bitcoin, such us in restaurant mcd. In my country mcd using bitcoin for transactions. So I think bitcoin still be survive

I think bitcoin can survive if the investors are continous to invest a capital to synchronize the flow of the bitcoin. But it defends if the government does not make a move to make bitcoin ban to our country it may survive. The worst scenario is when the government will say that all the investors of bitcoin are going to have a disciplinary action and all investors are going to be jailed. I think that is the time that bitcoin that will stop. So save bitcoin and work ward to earn more until the bitcoin is existing because we dont know what will happen next.
