yes it is ,,, because the Blockchain is a new type of database that can be used and maintained without a central administrator.
For me, i think blockchain will still survive without bitcoin because blockchain is a very good invention. And blockchain is so popular even thought bitcoin dissapear still blockchain continue to exist.

Blockchain system is made for faster peer to peer transaction and has a lot of benefits which can help certain companies when used, and the first one to apply blockchain technology is bitcoin. of course it could be because blockchain only gives technology only if bitcoin is gone and bitcoin leave blcockchain then blockchain will work with other coin.
Of course blockchain can survive without Bitcoin. There are other coins with which transactions can be done. Bitcoin is more popular and flexible, but if scrapped other coins can take over.
