Cryptocurrency will not make real money disappear, because we are in real life and not digital life. Crypto makes it easy for many people from all the conveniences that already exist. Bitcoin was created to make it easier to transact and even invest.

What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

It will be like the movie called "In Time", where "Time" is the only thing that holds everything, your money and even your lifespan. I think it will be hard to adjust for every individual since not everyone is familiar with BTC.

Real money or fiats are there because it can offer something that Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency can but these cryptocurrencies has something also that it can offer compared to fiats. The point is that instead of making each other disappear, I think that they will coexist and stand hand in hand in order to bring economic growth and will help a lot of people to promote a better life and well being of everyone.

Just being located in the internet's virtual world doesn't take anything of it's nature as money, it is exchangeable for value and is considered true money in anyway. USD and the like can disappear but BTC is a currency in the end.

Cryptocurrencies cannot make real money disappear because cryptocurrency is a digital money and can only be used online than real paper money that can easily transact or to buy things and to bring anytime and anywhere.

Cryptocurrency will be one of the other ways to pay online and offline when many people use it, and if that time real money happens, the fiat will remain there used by many people.

I don't think so it will make the real money or fiat disappear. Government has the control to cash and they can reproduce it any time they want. But bitcoin, it is decentralized and there's no way for the government to re-product and it has a supply limit of 21 million so when it reached to that supply, there will be no way for it to supply and produce again.
If Bitcoin gets manipulated and someone found a method to build as much coins within the whole Blockchain of Bitcoin then there would be a disruption in the whole Bitcoin network. Nobody would want to use Bitcoin because Bitcoins code would be broken and the people that invested money into will lose their money. I am pretty sure that Bitcoin can make regular money disappear.

if it's true and that manipulates has a lot of bitcoin and regular money disappears. cryptocurrency also will not be useful because if you want to use cryptocurrency you have to convert it to fiat while fiat disappears?. It does not make any sense. I don't think cryptocurrency can make real money disappear even though they are both currencies but they are very different.

i am agree with you, because as long as fiat is still needed by people then there are no chance for crypto currency make real money disappear and maybe crypto currency and fiat will be work as like partner. but if there are almost all country is using bitcoin and there are many local store accepting bitcoin, then maybe government will thinking to not use fiat again because there is another option for their citizen to pay something and crypto currency have more benefit depend with fiat.

Bitcoin has no difference from money if you think about it, you can use it to buy goods and services and can exchange it to other currencies now, even if it became the only one, that wouldn't mean the world has no currency, as currency is just a contract for exchanging to something in the same value.

Bitcoin is an actual money. A world without money would be the same as before where people used to trade something in exchange for something. There's no universal medium or tool to determine the price of something. There's nothing that you can exchange for anything. We would have to go back to the barter system.

Assuming that by real money, you meant fiat money. Then I think so, but not in the foreseeable future. It would be a long time before everyone ever gets to adopt to cryptcurrencies. The digital divide alone proves that. To use a cryptocurrency, you need the Internet and Internet isn't going to be just available in the whole world. There would always be places and people lagging behind.

I think digital currencies will complement fiat currencies for now. Russia and Singapore are already trialling them. Probably take 20 more years before making paper bills redundant.

Why do you rule out bitcoin as money? even though bitcoin isn't the traditional version of money but it is still is, the fact it is digital means nothing as right now, our whole financial system is based on the internet, from credit card to banks and exchanging methods, everything is based on the internet and the digital world, changing into bitcoin is a step, but not ruling out money as a whole.

I don't think we will see that happening because the reason cryptoocurrency having its value is also because of fiat money, traders does use fiat money to buy different types of crytpocurrency and sold it away when the values goes up, so this cycles will keeps on going, cryptocurrency exchanging into fiat money and vice versa.

Ohhh this is a huge claim that can never happen in practical manner. The money does not need to disappear. They can be operated in harmony with bitcoin.
May be a bit unique when every country or government uses one altcoin for their local currency. The system will be the same as fiat. Maybe the price of cryptocurrency will not be fluctuate again. But it seems that it is difficult to happen

Meh.
No, since cryptos require network. They have some limitations compared to fiat, and it is hard to scale.

That's a bold and sort of stupid statement to make.

Crypto won't be hard to scale once people get their shit together and stop being egotistical power hungry douches.

And about crypto requiring network? What are you even talking about? Cheesy

Meh.
I think both could co-exist but I believe that "real money" as we experience it today will be gone very soon. Not because it is a bad thing or something but mainly because of how gov. and banks have handled it. They have taken an original and ancient idea and turned it to complete shit.

Rant over.

Anyways, crypto will probably be the "real" money of the future. How long until then is another question though.

There is always "real money" and bitcoin is as much real money as usd and the like, people before were using gold and coins as the exchanging methods and even before that exchanging items. All these are real money and cash isn't the first thing... Naturally now, if you think about it, Credit Cards and epayments already taking the place of cash, and everything "with bitcoins included" are classified as money.
