the funny thing is that there is a lot of people here keep playing the gamble game in hope to win. And they claimed they are quite successful. That is the surprising thing.

People who gamble to make money don't make a lot of sense to me - at least not people who drop coins into random dice games. You'd be much better off investing in something like a sportsbet or something like that.

I prefer those sort of odds as you can make more of an informed decision regarding likelihood. Still, it's up to the individual - and risk is required to attain some of the better things in life, but I don't subscribe to the belief that gambling is profitable long term.

I know people who win thousands on greyhounds and horses, but they also spend hours researching and studying their sport. Knowledge is vital.

gambling will not make you rich forever. here you will learn to keep your money. allocate your money and return to gambling when you are short of money. Cheesy
You are completely wrong here. You are not gambling when you are short of money, never.
You only gamle with excessive of your money, when you actually have money you can lose, without jeopardizing your financial situation further.

Yeah I agree with you but some people use gambling to earn for their life and they need to win it no matter what, and use their financial to get more win so they can live using that winning cash so actually it depends on your purpose on gambling

Dependent on gambling for financial needs it doesn't make any sense because gambling can bust all money at anytime suddenly we goes into negative with nothing from positive so that gambling can't be profitable in long term.

No, I don't think that gambling is profitable in the long run. There are very limited chances to win in the gambling and most of the time people loose their money. One day you will win some money and the next two days you will loose your money, this is how all the gambling websites and other games are designed. Its better to play just for fun that too with limited money and its totally non profitable in the long run.

its possible to have long term profit in gambling, if you not too greedy to cash out your bankroll, but gambling will be more profitable if you do it just for short term, when you have unused money (well money are always used)

Wrong completely. Gambling mean loss for sure of ALL the money. If you gamble, the end of your money it will be only one. Your money to the pockets of the owner of casino or the online site. Whether the time of gambling is long or whether the time of gambling is short. You can have (if you will have) only temporary profits which will vanish because you will want to multiply those. Maybe not in the beginning but one day to come yes. You will be attempted by the gamble and will continue to play since the last penny. And you will lose all those.

I think no one can make profits from gambling for long term and that is the bueaty of gambling. You may be thinking you can make profit but without your knowledge you might lost lot of money already.

That is the main problem. It's hard to control greediness if you are making profit on it. So I can say much better if the gambler will lose much so deep to the point that he/she will forget playing gambling. At least they will stop.

Even you are gambling for fun , you could become greedy when you win big & you would gambling for profit, and you'll lose everything.
So, i think people shouldn't try gambling at all.
You are right my friend, you shouldn't gamble if you are greedy. It is always the turtle that wins the race Wink

Gambling can be profitable as long as you follow a few very important steps.

First, you have to gamble at a place where you're competing against other players, not against the house.

There is only a very, very small chance of being profitable long-term in dice games / roulette.  You need to find a game where you have a positive expectation and you're competing against other players.

Second:  Know how your mind works - if you start to make poor decisions after you get unlucky, stop.  Come back when you're ready to make good decisions and have a positive edge.

I will say gambling is not profitable neither in short term nor on long term. With exception of few people most of the people always loose money in gambling.Gambling is not for everyone and everyone isn't made to gamble.

everyone can gamble but not everyone can make profit from gambling..

short term or long term will always depend on our luck...be smart and focus...only tricky people can do good on gambling..

like me? i will have more -EV than +EV..now just figuring how do good on gambling..

My overview :

Yes gambling is profitable but depends on type of gambling. One good example of profitable gambling is TRADING. I see lots of people even my fellow kababayan's who are succesful in terms of trading. Like other gambling types, this requires good analyzation.

In gambling in a gambling site, I don't see any big profits here for a long term but I think rather than playing in a gambling site, invest in their bankroll (if that site offers that). Although not tested in my part I see it as a way to take advantage of the house.

I completely agree with you.  Never ever gamble with your money when you need it, that is a sure formula to lose.  Gambling is meant to be for fun and sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

Gambling for fun sounds like you are a rich guy who needs to spend some money  Grin

Well even you follows the set of rules, and have enough discipline in gambling. still it is GAMBLING.

You are not always in a winning side. sometimes you lose, sometimes you win.

So if you win.. be contented to it and stop for that day. greed will punish you.

And about the gambling be profitable in a long term? it is also depends, but i can say that you cannot make your daily living in gambling.

IMHO, in my humble opinion.

I think you are 100% wrong. There are plenty of people who barrow money for gambling. When people do not have money then they look all kinds of short cuts to make money.
