Depends on which way you're gambling.
Dice and Slot or any Luck-based game may not be profitable longterm.

But there are also skill-based gambling like Poker wherein longterm profitability is possible.

I think it is not about the time you spend on gambling can make you profitable.i believe that it is in youre self determine..if you are lucky in it so be it.but if you have a bad luck b.then you can stop it.everything is under the term of youre distiny in doing gambling.

Gambling can never be profitable in long term as if you continue to gamble with your winnings then in the end only house will win and you will be left with nothing in your hands so its good to stop when you win and take away all your profits and invest that money in some productive projects which can yield some profits for you.

It is not designed that way because gambling should make the owner rich not the player rich. However player will keep on coming even when they know that they will lose because they are having fun there. Alot of player will want to make profit but there will be always some people like me that come back to have fun

I think you are overestimating some people in your post, most people here know that you have lower chances than the house to win, but for the average person gambling is a way to try to multiply their earnings, if you were to explain why that is not possible they are not going to listen to you.

If one does not exercise discipline when gambling they are not being responsible and as we are solely responsible for our own decisions, it may lead to a wrong decision while under control of our ego or greed. In the long term gambling is only profitable to the casino for all EV- games. In EV+ games one can get an edge in some games and not all hence that too is not profitable in the long run. The best thing is to gamble within limits and be under mental control at all times.

I have a guess that it will be poker.
Poker needs some skill and you wont get to the final 2 without having it.
Luck is just an addition to this game. Even with bad pair of cards you could somehow take over the table and win it.
Somehow there are people who spend their life on knowing how the game circulate.

Yes it really depends on what gambling game are they playing.. another example is sports betting whereas you need to analyze both matching teams and predict who will win the game. Yes luck is an addition where if sometimes strong team get lose to their opponent because of luck. But if you're careful to bet maybe it will ne profitable in the long run.

Maybe not online casinos. But there are some people who do earn money consistently in gambling. Those that come to mind are the poker players and some players who specialize in comps/bonuses and other forms of games. But it's not the norm.

If we are the casino owner or investor, then gambling can be very profitable for a long term. However, there is no guarantee to earn the same thing when you are just a player or a gambler because the casino owners and investors have a house advantage.

Gambling can not make us earn a lot of money. I do not believe that gambling can be a profitable investment for a long time. Gambling is just looking in terms of luck so I'm not sure everyone can get luck all the time.

That is right, every people has it own limit of luck and it varies in time.
People who frequently won their gambling activities I think is really making a good job keeping their luck in. It is really hard to maintain your winning streak in a gambling especially the luck based game. I think they can keep it in a gambling like Sports betting where it is easy to predict the results.

If you take a look at poker pros you will see such people. There are also some people who permanently make money with sports betting or arbitrage betting. But if you play luck games with a house edge you can of course not gamble profitable longterm!

Even very good poker players lose a lot sometimes, but I agree that there are exceptions. I personally don't know gamblers who make money with it regularly, but we can see some of them on youtube for example. But really, who knows for sure whether those shows are real or staged?

people will only show you publicly a good things only , they will never show how bad you are losing a lot of money. but only on how you have made quite huge amount just by gambling , and it could leading people to motivated to keep trying gambling.

even in the end actually you lost it all back, who knows right? as people show the good things only!
