If this is in the wrong section id like a mod to move it to the appropriate section please.

That would probably be the Begging Section. We ain't got one, AFAIK.

This is gonna come off as a bit odd but id like to see if theres anyone in the community willing to help with 2 things. Im sure youve all read the whole mess with master-P and with that happening i currently have 3 campaigns that will not be paid out. Is that your problem? Well no its not your problem at all, but if i can get someone to create an escrow address(preferrably dooglus or someone of his stature) and if any of you guys could donate some coin to the address that would be a great showing from the community.

Have you tried Master-P? I hear he's pretty trustworthy Undecided

If you bothered to actually look at the scam accusations against him, you'll see that he's not.

Huh, thanks for the heads-up. Wasn't he one of "The Big Five" or something?
These other trusted escrows tho, they're OK, right?
Should we go with Maidak, or Quickseller perhaps?
Would suck if people donated all their money to the totally righteous cloud farm & Dice site, and then found out they've been had. Again Sad
Quickseller is another guy who some people say has ripped the community apart.i would say stop trading till the dust settles and we know what exactly to do . I will halt all my trades for indefinite period .this is serious situation that needs to be addressed or else people should migrate to a safer place (forum) .as this will show that the admins are not interested in safety of members.

The admins aren't exactly there to create safety. They are there to help clean up spam, help users that might have been locked out and try to keep the forum itself running.

If admins were to get involved in things it could lead to a heated debate, like between two parties. They do not need that stress.

That's why a lot of the community tries to call out scammers. Hedgy usually tries to help newbies in the goods section to help get their products sold, or help find the scammers. Scam-alert usually gives me a chuckle with his checklist of scammer things.

^^Agree with this.  I don't do much trading here on the forum, but it looks like no one is really to be trusted, eh?  I suppose I shouldn't be all that surprised about this development--I know the history of scams with bitcoin.  It was bound to happen with someone trusted here.  Ah well.

the volume of trading won't be much like before, could it affect the btc value?

No, that's not how the value of BTC works.
It's just the economy of this community that's affected (or I may be mistaken)

Try messaging @Theymos and maybe he will donate some advertising space here on the forum to those who are willing to help "bailout" some of the people who lost bitcoin to master-p escrow fiasco. This way it will not cost Theymos anything directly, donors get advertising in return for helping with the bailout and everyone wins :-)

Which is sort of the entire concept behind the DONATE MEDIA non-profit idea we have going (once approved by the IRS that is) Shameless plug I know...LOL Sorry I couldn't help myself :-)

@Theymos if you're reading this also, I'll make sure you get donation receipts from DONATE MEDIA once we're approved by the IRS for whatever amount in advertising space it would cost you. So at the very least you'll get a write-off for the space donated towards this bailout. We should have all the paperwork into the IRS for final approval within the next 5-7 business days. The Tax ID for the DONATE MEDIA non-profit has already been acquired (I can send that to you if you'd like) and Incorporation papers have been sent into the state, once the corporation papers are "officially filed"? We then send the complete package into the IRS for final approval of non-profit status.

Anyway this is just an idea guys, I hope all those involved in this mess receive their funds back. I'm still in complete shock over this and I didn't even have any bitcoin at risk with master-p.

I would wear a sig as I am a good guy like that.
Really would like to help, but it's not good news, my profile is negative and therefore not allowed to participate.

Same goes for other signature campaigns.

No one is asking for anything here but me. Not 1 of the sites i was representing asked me to post on their behalf. Im just seeing if anyone is willing to help. If they are, awesome. If theyre not, cool. Its not a must do situation and not one of you has to do a damn thing here.

Exactly where do you think trolling is helping anyone here?

If the reputable companies aren't asking you to panhandle on their behalf, kindly refrain from doing so.
The no begging rule is still in effect here, AFAIK.

He was one of the big five, and stop being sarcastic in this kind of situation.

This situation is somehow unusual? You don't see anything odd about a clod mining outfit asking for handouts? How about a dice site?
Not sure about the third spam campaign, since it wasn't mentioned. Maybe the third one's the charmed.

I will donate $4 in bitcoin if that helps.  What's the address to send it to, Yahoo?

Edited to add:  Is it your repayment address, the 1Kpq...?
There is no address currently. I would like for a reputable member to donate his time for this cause and escrow. Dooglus Ognasty or someone left with a highly trusted reputation. I dont think currently anyone will trust many lesser known users with any amount of btc.
OK then.  If you need donations, I offered and you can PM me if you need it.  I'm not a wealthy man by any means but this is a shitty situation and I will try to help.

I don't really see ore-mine "2092.36+ BTC paid" being dependant on community handouts to honor a ~1BTC payout.

To me it looks like the company owners that are paying for the campaigns are the ones that got scammed, not the managers or the participants.
They should just cough up the money again to pay the participants as agreed in the first place.
Or they can say "oh, we got scammed so were not paying you now", that I don't agree with. Those people have enough BTC to cover there losses in this situation with there extremely profitable gambling sites and such.
word.
