What’s the special event? I don’t think anyone can predict when to buy bitcoin, You buy when the money is available and accept the market condition either bull or bear market but, it’s better to take advantage during bear market. After reading the article one of the major reason they feel buying bitcoin during October is important is due to past event and they feel bitcoin will rise, that’s normal because everyone have their different opinion about the market. I will urge you buy regular using dca or any strategy of your choice including buying bitcoin anytime not just October, starting now is okay because bitcoin still have better opportunity compared to October only. Following social articles concerning when to buy can’t be trusted most times people do sell in lose just because they read something online without making personal research, buying bitcoin has no limit so anyone can buy bitcoin any time.

I would say no , except if you do it at the very begginning of october because as you could have seen on some tables posted by some members above, October is one of the more profitable month of the year for Bitcoin. The second behind November for the average value (+23%) and the first one for the median value with +28%. So if you wait too much, you could buy it at a high price and face a harsh drop in November, December and January.  Fortunately, February is a good month for BTC price with +16% for the average and +15% for the median value.

Good day to all members of this great community! I previously asked questions and received helpful answers and advice from our elders to focus and engage with different boards to learn and grow. As a newbie, I'm eager to continue learning and have another question.

Which is I came across a news article stating that October is approaching and is a highly potential period for Bitcoin, suggesting it might be the right time to invest. My question is, is it advisable for a newbie who has never invested in Bitcoin before to take advantage of  October too Are there any limitations or considerations I should be aware of as a newbie?
It's good that you got some helpful answers here, and that's always the case here. Those experts out there are sharing what they know about the question. It's just that, there are some newbies who are asking some kind of non-sense question that's why they will also get a non-sense kind of answer. Nevertheless, I believe that experts here are very helpful as long as they know what they're answering. Smiley

If you will just base it on the price history of Bitcoin during the month of October in the past 10 years, you will see that Bitcoin's price tend to be bullish at that time. There's a chance that it might happen again this year especially that everyone is expecting for a bull run to happen. Now I'm not saying that I'm 100% certain that it will be a bullish month because there's always a chance that it might not happen like what many are expecting. Just look at Bitcoin this month. Based on history, September tends to be a bearish month for Bitcoin, but it will end up around 10% or even more since.

Anything can happen, but will I recommend it for you as a newbie? You can still I guess, but continue learning and invest only a few bucks.

It all depends on you if you decide to invest on October or won't invest at all. Anyway, it doesn't have to be on October or something like that since as I have explained that it's entirely up to you to invest or not. As many people would say, it's not to late to invest in bitcoin though you know or learn about bitcoin years later which means you didn't know about bitcoin when it already existed for many years. You should try investing in different cryptocurrency (you should choose crypto that are on the top rank).

Yes, it's advisable to invest in Bitcoin whenever it's price is low, at present time Bitcoin is already high in value because a few days ago its value was still below $60k, and now it's over $65k, and that's why it depends that either you want to invest in it now or wait for a dip so you can invest in it. I personally never invest in Bitcoin when it's value gets higher but some people recommend that type of investing.

There's high chance that in next 3 months Bitcoin might get to $80k in value but we can't neglect the fact that the market always goes up and down and those up and down movements will continue to be part of the market. Bitcoin's current value at $65k can be good buying point if it gets to $80k value in next 3 months but if it goes below $55k then many newbies will get dishearten, and that's why I recommend you to learn about the market and its volatility first before investing in Bitcoin.

Is there any special period for Bitcoin or crypto investment? I am hearing this for the first time OP, but I hope it will be helpful for you even though Bitcoin investment can be anytime provided you have your capital to invest whenever the price goes down or use DCA method to invest whenever you have a spare money you cannot use anytime soon.
Everyone have their own investment strategy which they believe works best for them. Everyone want to buy when the price is low, how do they really know the perfect 'low' price they'll be comfortable with to buy bitcoins? I believe anyone who is ready to invest in bitcoin should buy immediately and wait for it to appreciate. My key words here are ready, buy and wait. As long as you are ready to invest and you are patient too to invest for a very long time, your investment must definitely appreciate. There is no point waiting when you can invest now
Yes. You can try to guess probability patterns looking at the data in green in the previous pages, and be right, or wrong, as past results are not indicative of future performance. So the short answer, and also the best one from my perspective, is to buy when you have the spare money and want the coins. Or you can set a few days/weeks and wait if the price fluctuates for example a 10% below the current price, and buy at discount, but with the risk of missing the train. So as we don't know the future, I'm afraid that there is no right or wrong answer to the OP's question. Simply do as you please according to your personal preferences and situation, and don't ask for forecasts nobody knows.

From the little I have learnt, I think is a wrong approach for a newbie trying to figure out the right time to enter in to Bitcoin, if truly the plan is to invest and hold for a long time rather trading for short term profit, the advice I have always seen as newbie investor is to get started preferably with the DCA strategy of accumulating Bitcoin by buying frequently either weekly or monthly without considering the price points.
There is also nothing entirely wrong with trying to learn when is the best time to enter the market, especially in times like this when price is not stable. If there is a chance for the person to use a lesser amount to get a high volume, then the chance should be taken.

The question that was asked is based on the speculation that surrounds the internet about how the month of October will be for bitcoin, as there has always been a positive result in the past years for the month of October.

You can learn about trading if you want to be investing anytime because Bitcoin and altcoin trading or crypto trading in general can be done anytime because the market is moving up and down always. Don't wait for Bitcoin price to drop down before you think of investing in Bitcoin, you can be investing whenever you have money so that you can accumulate a reasonable number of Bitcoin within some period of time.

Why wait till October, before you can buy Bitcoin, from what I've read too, October, will be a bullish month. If you're going by what is said about October, then you need to buy now and wait for it. Although nothing is certain and nobody really knows what Bitcoin price will be in October, everything that you hear are just speculations. As some experienced members have suggested to you on this thread, it's better to equip yourself with Bitcoin knowledge first before investing so that you will not panic unnecessarily when price begins to dip when you're expecting it to skyrocket. You can decide to buy now and hodl or you can wait till after the bull run, then buy in dip when we'll enter bear run.
I prefer to buy bitcoin during the dip. That is why I can not buy bitcoin this time because I have already bought some already when the price was low. I think buying now will not hold so much profit for me if bitcoin will not surpass $100000 or maybe it will surpass the six digits nobody know yet. Just like you said, what people suggested are just speculations, but if he can hold even if bitcoin do not increase in October, the price will still later increase, either this year or next year but I prefer for higher profit which is investing after huge bear market.
I am the same as you, the purchase when it comes down is better than in the moment like now because of the potential for profit and atmosphere or buying it different, we only feel happiness at this time when Bitcoin rises again above $ 60k- $ 65k after struggling for a long time to penetrate the price level $ 60k last month, the market was lethargic like an opportunity for people like us to buy rather than the market like now.
But for anyone who wants to enter Bitcoin I think it is helped by each other's readiness, because all the risk of speaking of finances someone we don't know, in October or now it is also not bad for those who want to enter Bitcoin, there is still enough time for beginners To start a really bitcoin in a bullish state.

Actually I'm experiencing some movement in the price of bitcoin for some days now, but I don't actually know the reason behind that. Or should I say is because we are about entering a new month or something LoL. However as a newbie you can invest in bitcoin at anytime, there's no specific time or month that you need to invest in bitcoin as long as you have the money you can invest at anytime, though it depends on your choice there are some people who invest in bitcoin when the market shows green they don't invest when the market shows declined.

You already have some good suggestions. But, I would say you stop trusting these news articles. These are just speculations and nothing else. As a newbie, the more important thing is to know where to invest, where to keep your Crypto, which wallet you should use, and what you should avoid. If you are a beginner and don't know which crypto you should choose, I would suggest you pick Bitcoin.

Make sure to use non-custodial wallets to store your Bitcoin. Never believe in money-doubler projects that offer you to double your crypto in a short time. Never store your seed phrases online and never share them with anyone. Do not invest in altcoins because you are not able to research the project properly.

OP, you registered on the forum in August of this year. I read your posts; you often raise the issue of the importance of investing in Bitcoin. Today, you still hesitate to do so, but very often mention that Bitcoin can help improve the lives of some people. Can I ask you what you are waiting for? October? Do you want to pay more for Bitcoin (judging by the material that you read)? Do you have any logic? If you say that in October (I do not claim) growth begins, then it will be necessary to buy? Are you sure that you read and understand the forum correctly?

Their is no bad time to invest bitcoin because every time is good time to invest. When to invest bitcoin should not be a problem for beginners but what needs to be consider first is if the person really understands what hhe/she is about to go into. In the first time of investing the time to invest is not really the problem but what really matters if one has the real knowledge that is required for the investment to be successful.  If you have the knowledge about Bitcoin you are free to start your investment when you are ready.

If you don't understand the market it is impossible to invest bitcoin,  the problem beginners always have while investing bitcoin is that they misunderstand the volatility of the market which they see as threat.

Invest with Dollar Cost Averaging strategy and invest in long term, will give investors many opportunities of buying. It's never too late for an investor to make Bitcoin purchase for investment portfolio.
If an investor has strong belief in Bitcoin future, no reason to think it is too late to enter the market in 2024.

It seems to me that there are many more who do not have such beliefs and want to profit in the short term - and that is why they ask questions like the OP. In addition, the days when we could expect money invested in BTC to bring x50 or more are long gone, and today many will invest in alts rather than BTC precisely for this reason.

OP you can invest in any month of the year if you have enough funds to invest, but remember to get experience about investing before investing. Many suffer by investing at the wrong time due to lack of experience. Since crypto is volatile, investing in crypto should never assume that you will get rich quick. Also, invest as much as you can afford to lose. These tips are mainly given to newbies before investing in the initial stages.

Yes you read that right in the news article that October is a promising month for Bitcoin. This chart probably makes it clear that October is a bullish time for Bitcoin. From 2013 till date, the price of Bitcoin has gone down twice in the month of October and the price of Bitcoin has been up the rest of the time. Maybe this year is going to be the same.

For me look at the price actions, if the price is gradually going up, you might wait for a bit for the price to go down for me if the price last year October goes down, that might be the trend this year it might be the other way around the thing is you should control you're emotion, that is a very big factor when going to crypto investing, you should not let you're feelings dictate what will you do, you should also watch the situations, or anything that will affect the price, i have been there where i should have accumulate or profit big time but since i let my feelings dictate it, don't let it control you, at-least for my own experience I maybe able to help in a small way.

Well op is good you ask questions just desire ,many have said it all as much you have what it take to invest you should because I don't think Bitcoin investment has to do with time or period it's based on individual decision and choice of time, no time has ever been the best for me the more you wait on time the more you loss some value of what you might have invested because it's very hard to save money holding it without been invested mean while you can also be waiting for a drop while you wait in  vain.the method investment and constantly accumulating bitcoin I when ever you have what it take without considering rise or drop for me has always been the best way for any one who want to grow because it will be hard to gather money that will give you a greater shift in accumulating Bitcoin at a time if not gradual buying at any given time without considering rise or drop factor, though one must be calculative enough to achieve much but let not your calculations exceed your success to invest, I believe even when one buy at high consistent buying even when high and when there is a drop can still be joined to give you the actual accumulations where profit can be made if actually enough is in your possession and there is a long time holding practice.
