Depends on the initial investment you're willing to make and the cost of electricity in your country. Also, keep in mind that mining rig models are costantly updated, which means that what you might buy today could be obsolete in two or three months

I would say no. Mining for the most of people is just one of the ways to get profit once or twice

It depends on how much you spend and how much you lean on it, it can make you a good income monthly but the point in mining is actually gathering and keeping in your hand what you mine.

For example, if you had two L3+ Scrypt miners, you could make a profit of around $35-$40 a day, it's been that way for a few months now, and was higher before, and will likely go lower in the future.
