As the temperature says that you can mine using a laptop but your laptop won't last long because the laptop won't last long with excessive usage, it's better for the start you can buy a gpu device at a price comparable to the hp laptop that you recommend .

The answer is NO, you will end the laptop life in few weeks of continues mining, you need to build your own mining rigs or buy off eBay or Amazon, GPU cards are cheap this days but the fact about mining is they aren't profitable anymore

GPU mining is still profitable. Not as much as it used to be, but it is still profitable. It all depends on your electricity price, and big GPU farms have low enough kWh price to continue their operations with ease.

Like the title says, I wanna know if it's possible on the following modern laptop - here is a link:

https://www.evetech.co.za/hp-15-amd-ryzen-7-laptop-7zs08ea-with-2tb-ssd-and-64gb-ram/laptops-for-sale/15127.aspx

The same webpage also sells cooling (not trying to advertise a webstore - I'm sying I can get the needed cooling gadget at the same place - no need
for any other links)

thanks for the help/feedback

Yes, you can. But I won't do that if I were you because I don't want to see my laptop become hot and it could make my laptop damage. You need to buy the hardware for mining so you don't have to worry if the process will stop because the hardware becomes hot. I don't know about how much reward you can get because that will depend on what coin you can mine with your laptop, but that is not advisable to do that.

You could buy an external GPU Solution, add a 2080ti and there you go.
But dont mine with the internal GPU.

You could have the most expensive computer you can imagine and you can't mine with it properly. Either you are going to mine a coin that is so small and mined basically by very few people that you will not really make too much money from it. Or you are going to try to mine something proper and they already have machines upon machines that mine it which means there is no way people could actually get into it with computers.

Right now we are talking about difference of 1 mining equipment mining more than 100 computers, there is no computer that could close that difference, even the 30k dollar computers can't mine ethereum and profit right now. Just keep your laptops life longer and close it when you are not using and not tire your computers cpu and ram so that it can live longer before breaking down.

What are you talking about? First of all there is no such thing as a 30K computer. Maybe the most expensive computer these days is $5K or so. And ETH is still mostly mined by GPUs and they are pretty cheap these days.

You can go on Craiglist and buy an RX 470 8GB GPU for around $100 or so. Get about 5 of these, add a hard drive, cpu, ram, big PSU and you got yourself a rig for probably less than $1K. There are ASICs out for ETH but they aren't that much more efficient in terms of profitability.

BTC is a different story. You can't GPU or CPU mine BTC anymore. ASICs are the only way to go for BTC.

With your laptop you can now mine Idena coin.
You don't need any special hardware, but you only need decent internet speed.

Like everybody has said. Sure you can try mining but most likely you won't make any profit but you might end up starting a fire due to the constant heat, heating the battery and causing the battery to swell or explode.

Right now ASIC miner and GPU miners are barely making any ends meet. The time for home mining is over. Even if you got cheap power and your gear is paid, the profits are nil.Best time to mine on a laptop was about 10 years ago when BTC was first launched and nobody was mining it. Right now there is no point to even try.

There are some CPU coins worth mining however you can do it on a desktop but probably not idle on a laptop due to the poor heat circulation. Desktops can have larger heatsinks than laptops and thats why they can handle the constant heat, not laptops.

I am pretty sure that you can mine with that laptop, but it's like burning your money. Laptops cannot work well with 100% performance and 24/7, after a few days, pretty sure your laptop will be seriously damaged. Instead, I recommend you consider buying VGA second hand.

Maybe it is possible to mine some shitcoins with powerful CPUs but I feel like it is not really worth to mine them at all because Laptop is not designed for 24/7 usage purpose, if you force it to work with full potential it will destroy the internal parts due to excessive heating so it will end up getting destroyed, but the coin you have mined with that may never have any value.

Sure, you can mine with that laptop, but it will not work, your lap top will be broken because it must work continuously at 100% capacity, it is not designed for mining.

Even if you have a MSI Gaming Laptop with the latest RTX GPU my advice is laptops aren't build to withstand mining heats, all hell will surely broke loose on your laptop hardware, it's better to listen to advice on here before making the biggest mistake of your life

If you're talking about Bitcoin mining, It won't be economically viable for you. But you can mine some altcoin which were designed to be mined on spare parts. I would suggest you to mine aragon2d or grin. It will be economical for you.
Why is talking about mining Bitcoin not economically feasible? whether the cost is very large or the way that is very difficult to do, and I want to know the reason why Bitcoin is still better than Altcoin like Aragon.

Laptops aren't build to handle the heat from mining, it will short it's lifespan, it's better you build a separate mining rigs or buy an asic miner, do not use laptop to mine the laptop will die fast
^ Definitely right, obviously it is not recommended using the laptop for mining or everything will go into waste. If you think that you may still be able to mine coins such as Aragon2d, MWC, and Grin using your laptop for it probably not be enough to compensate your expenses if your laptop got burned. I suggest that if you are really eager to mine, you probably use as well a desktop with a couple of GPUs so you can maximize it in mining. Nevertheless, it will not long last, it is better to purchase and have your own mining rigs because it is durable and proven that can mine and use for how many years in the mining business.

Yes you can, but it will quickly cause your laptop to fail. So it's best to use the latop for other purposes to make money. There are many ways to make money instead of mining

Whatever the case may be do not use your laptop to mine, mining coin uses all available CPU power which creates or builds heavy heat that can kill your CPU or other components in your laptop, do not try it, I repeat, do not try it
