Yes, Litecoin can definitely hold the #2 spot. It's probably the most accepted currency other than Bitcoin.

Its "IPO" was the biggest fraud in Internet history.

I see too much optimism for darkcoin around the forum. People don't realise that the price was pumped deliberately by supporters and whales. This brought a general uptrend after more people noticed and huge volumes kicked in in the exchanges. But uptrends don't last forever. See what's going on with doge at the moment? Remember the panic sale and the price or Ripple sinking after the founder announcing that he'll be selling his ripples? Nothing lasts forever, at leat litecoin has been fairly stable lately. That's unlike most of coins of the future mentioned here.

I actually emailed Steve at Gocoin asking if they will accept Anon coins and here is his reply, so you are right in a way - nothing has been ruled out by GoCoin.
