The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
Well, I'm not surprised bitcoin was that cheap back in 2014. Bitcoin is a resilient coin that rose being almost worthless to what it's worth now which a huge amount of money especially when compared to that time.
The only regret for many of us is that we didn't accumulate as much as possible.  So many of us had the opportunity to accumulate a lot of bitcoin back then but we didn't do it because we were so skeptical of what will become of bitcoin. Well, it's so obvious now that we made the wrong decision.

That was five years ago when someone introduced bitcoin to me but that was four years ago when I start to involved myself in crypto things. I remember, I am so happy the first time I earned bitcoin. It felt like I am kinda rich or something that I achieved it. At year 2017, I also thought bitcoin price is already high and I can't imagine that after a couple of years it will more higher. If only I bought at least 1 bitcoin five or four years ago then hold it, I am surely a millionaire in our country as of this moment. Well it feels like no one expected this to come and we all learned our lesson. Bitcoin is a very good coin and it is worth holding for a long time.

Thats true, before pandemic the price is still cheap and investors can afford to buy if they really want to invest. In my case I already know about bitcoin 6 years ago, so imagine the price during that time but I didnt pay attention because I think its a usual thing happening online and its not something to be worth to invest in.

Well, indeed regrets are always in the end because who would have thought that it will be worth 3 millions (when we convert it to our currency) at this point. If only we can curn back time I will buy as much as I can but its impossible now.
I figure almost everyone here have almost the same story about not batting an eye, yes there are regrets but at the least we are in the scene which is much better than still being an observer and skeptic.

Rather than being an audience I am happy that was part of it directly and might not have bought in bulk or that much considering the price now, but still happy of being believing in it from the start where billionaires fail to understand that and now catching up lately. So in that terms I was well ahead of them only thing might not make millionaire but in future will make me for sure.

What's important is that I still have on my stash and that's why I'm keeping them for the longer term this time. Selling pinch by pinch every single price increase that I think is the peak.  Tongue

Oh, that's a good tactic... I'll be using the same method for the rest of my portfolio.
I've been watching the price movement in the last few days, and the only reason I didn't cash out straight away was to see if I could ride the hype train or not. So far, it's been worthwhile, but I'm also wary of buying too soon and selling too late.
Do it if you think that's going to work for you. Just don't feel sorry when you've sold at the peak that you think but later on the price has increased. Always consider that when you've sold is that you're really happy selling at that price and no matter what happens high or low, you're in profit. That's the important thought that you should be bringing to yourself that you've made money and profit regardless of the market and on that spot, you're satisfied.

Even by just buying before pandemic, it would make someone's investment have a good returns. How much more 5 years ago. I just wish I had the resources to enter this in 2015. I just cant imagine how happy those who adopt and invest early in Bitcoin.

That date of purchase, 1st July 2014, was a local peak. Over the next 6 months, bitcoin would lose approximately 75% of its value, bottoming out at ~$170 in January 2015, and not raising back above $650 for 2 years.

Imagine the people who bought at that peak, and had to wait 2 years just to break even again. How many of them do you think panicked in those 2 years and cashed out? How many proclaimed the bubble "popped" and gave up on bitcoin? If they had held out, they would currently be sitting at on ~20x profits.

All the newbies panicking about buying at $13k a few days ago and already starting to sell at a loss could learn a valuable lesson here. What if in 5 years time your investment had gone up 20 times? Would you be angry at yourself for panicking and selling so soon?

Saw this post and I imagine from the time this post was made till this very moment if anyone had bought btc at the price ($13k) according to the statement above and just hold without doing anything else how would the person feel  Huh
Another example that being patient and hold is always the best option when it comes to btc. Just within 2 years of this post, see the difference.

Wow! Great experience! The then and now is the reward for believing in bitcoin. For days I have been watching the documentaries of how bitcoin started. It is great to relive those moments, I cannot imagine the happiness and satisfaction of all those men and women who believed in bitcoin from day one until now.
It is only up to us to continue supporting it because it will provide us with a new technology that will give way to decentralized finance.

I wish I’ve known Bitcoin 5 years ago or 10 years ago. There’s so much regret on my part that I haven’t heard about Bitcoin that time. If I had known, maybe I was also skeptical about most of the people. Many haven’t believed that Bitcoin will reach this price today. But there’s no point on regretting it. At least now we know how valuable it is and when Bitcoin dumps, we buy more and more in all our capacity.

There is now way of exactly buying the bottom or selling the peak.  You'll most likely always get in (a little) later or out a little to early (or too late).

Define a exit strategy and execute it without hesitant when the moment has arrived. I guess that's the only way to do it.  Ideally you have defined that exit already before opening a position as one tends to be emotionally attached to a position once it's opened.

Feel a wee bit sorry for all those poor souls who sold their Bitcoin holdings after the initial huge price increases from a couple of months ago to now because they cashed out for fiat and can no longer buy them at the same price!
Thanks for feeling sorry about me.  Tongue I'm one of those people who have sold and then the price increased a lot. But that's life and I have to cope up with what's with the market and don't have to feel that much sadness longer than I was in this market.

651 USD for a Bitcoin sounds pretty nice ar current levels buy why not go back a few years more. Imagine buying a coin for 1 Usd, you would have already made a nice profit of 651 times your initial investment. Unfortunately these backward analysis of potential investments are not good for us. With almost any stock we could find the best timing to buy and to sell. It's better to look for new opportunities for the future than feel bad about missed out trades.

I remember I used to buy 10 Bitcoins for $ 430 per Bitcoin. At that time I invested them in MLM sites like Questra, Recyclix. Now those sites have disappeared with the same bitcoins I loaded up. The amount of profits coming from the above sites has earned me many dollars. I was unaware that Bitcoin could increase in value so high.
Life is like that if I didn't do MLM games and kept those Bitcoins up to now I would have become rich and not be a bounty hunter.

I just started to be active again in early 2020 regretting how stupid it was that I didn't start my investment again at this time, when the price was still quite affordable and now it has touched 65k USD.  How stupid I was to be lazy back then, and today is the highest BTC price record in history.

Yep, that's almost my story  Cool

Is this the real price of BTC and not the whales' toy?  Because seeing its height only makes me very worried if there is a major correction in the future.

The price is whatever somebody is willing to pay.  As long as there are more people asking for BTC then selling, the price will rise. That's the way markets work.

It's a long year of a process to finally see the Bitcoin price reach at this stage. As the years are passing by Bitcoin too is slowly gaining some popularity and adaptation to almost all other countries. That's why it has gained such price that most skeptic people wouldn't believe it would happen and guess what, they were full of regrets and now trying to hodl some bags of shitcoin instead of Bitcoin.

i hope some more currency will grow soon, so when can invest in it.Investing in BTC now is really expensive and who knows if price will still go up.
