Hi, have you ever thought this?

You know that, to import a wallet you need the private key or your seed. Taking as example the private key (the 52 letters key). It could exist the possibility someone create a software whose function was to try thousands of times to find the private key till it is be done. This would be like the process to find the new block in mining, anyway you can try the times you want in order to find it.

I think this could be a weakness, correct me if I am wrong. Smiley

Or comment if you have a kind of solution for this...

Regards!

It depends on how will you manage your credentials especially your private keys which contains your tokens or coins. There are malicious software that can harm your computer or worst can steal your passwords or bank account details, so be careful in every website you visit than contains malware.

The way all passwords for digital wallets are created is extremely complicated for somebody to steal it plus even if you personally lose your password you have no way to retrieve it. So based on these facts the probabiity of theft is very low.

I think you should not be too suspicious. The wallets require us to enter a private key to log into the wallet and the creators of the software will not steal the user's money. because they need more credibility and number of users.
Transaction fees will increase their earnings more than they steal your money. So I advise you not to think too negatively. Grin

I have been over here for a fair bit of time and these are the reason why i feel people have lost their coins:

1) They have virus in their pc or phones which steals the data, having a good antivirus could help here.

2) They do not update their wallet remember electrum found a leek earlier and updated their wallet. People update your wallets

3) One of the most common and most notable problem with all ' I used my bitcoins on a public wifi and next thing I know they're gone. People NEVER use public wifi to do transaction for bitcoins and I mean never.

4) I put my seed or private keys online or for fork or kept the wallet as it is after claiming a fork, people make sure you do not share your details and always empty post a fork.

5) Do not share your details with anyone and don't loose your coins.

Everyone can certainly easily steal our bitcoin if we have never been concerned about security issues, many people have told us that they lost bitcoin because it uses a password that is easy to guess, so the important thing is to create a difficult password and of course often replace it.

i think stealing of btc is not a new story anymore because someone can easily program software that they will use to track your wallet and made away with you token.

I think stealing can be happen but the most important thing we can do is keep our private key safe and not share it to anyone. I think its hard to steal our coin if we not share our private key because the server do not keeping back up

I think you don't need to create a password with 52 letters having a safe and secure password don't need to have a many letters or numbers because for me if the password that you enter in your account did not accept that you make for me it means that there is someone who used it already and if the password that you make accept it it means that no one used the password that you made. ( I guess).

It is possible that somebody can steal your bitcoin especially when you are visiting or not aware of those phishing sites. So before you enter your private key and address, be vigilant with the sites you are entering to.

You can lose your bitcoins only because of the human factor. Social engineering, phishing, Fraudulent ICO, False crypto-currencies, Financial pyramids, Fake wallet, installation of virus software etc.

There is nothing impossible to people nowadays. People were geniuses themselves wherein they can think of a way at doing things. What am I saying here is nothing impossible therefore people can steal your BTC.
yes because every day scammers change their face and want scam your bitcoin they use different way to steal money some of them create fake ICO and steal the money from investors and then disappear. before some days scammer contact me and show me their self owner of ICO and then say send me money i will send you tokens of my ICO but when i research on ICO they and a scammer and ICO owner are another one so be aware from scammer when you invest your money.

The possibility is there but it is near impossible to crack since a lot of walls are needed to be brought down in order for it to crack, but not breakdown. Another problem is the blockchain. Hacking the blockchain would mean you have to take a lot of time inorder to even dent the surface.

Bitcoin is an asset, stealing of bitcoin is under statement, because any hacker are ready to collect the last limit of coin in your wallet and also looking for more in that particular wallet as long it has the access, which is very bad experience some one no need to have.

The chances of stealing bitcoin in the way you thought is quite impossible or maybe just not too possible to happen. Bitcoin would not have been trusted by millions of people if your idea works. Of course, people would always do something to be evil in some ways but stealing through that method could lead them to a dead end. The security system that was created for Bitcoin could be considered steal-proof because Bitcoin is used for all kinds of transactions; good and bad. So do not be worried about your coins being stolen because they made sure your coins are safe.

Only hacker can make bad things happen to your wallet account.  This can only happen if an account owner practices negligence in all his account including his bitcoin wallet.  Try to avoid using other's gadgets or using public computers that are prone to devices that captures access codes.  I am not talking about the owner of that public computers like internet shops, it is most likely the others who rents the unit and installs privately the apps and comes back frequently to check if they catches one.  It is like fisherman's net to catch fish.  So better be careful in using other's devices to avoid losing btc from your account.  Just my opinion.
