The answer can be yes or no. Trading activity is to conduct business transactions, buying and selling. every business there is always a risk because it takes a money management and business plan (in this case the trading plan) is clear. same or not depends on the way people think different
I agree. However, gambling is more risky since people only depend on their luck and the house system is created to take away gamblers money. Trading is better if traders know how to learn new things and adapt to new situation. In fact, with knowledge and talent, trading is 100% a profitable activity

I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??

Please tell me what do you think.

Different things but your money still involved to grow or loss.
Trading has higher chance to get profits, but you may ended with loss too, right?
I think gambling works that way too, you need skills too to win at some kind of games.
Whenever everyone put money and has risk to lose, it consider as gambling in my opinion.

actually some people do not have any skill in trading and they totally depend on their money they have and on their luck, they do not have any knowledge about trading, therefore we can consider trading as gambling.
Yes, lack of knowledge is the main reason for some traders considering and performing their trading in gambling way. Even trading has many possibilities for profit making unlike gambling, these people might be incurring only losses from their trading.

We need to spend more time to groom as a trader then there will be less chances to trade in gambling way. If we rushed into trading without learning it properly, then losses will be the only results.

I agree trading needs time and devotion for our skills and knowledge to grow but sad most trader forget about this.  They just simply buy into the hype of the coin and jump on buying them without even doing research.  This can be considered as gambling.  Trading blindly.
Its always happening if you are investing and buying newly release altcoin From ICO.. honestly i am not investing those ways in ICO or newly release its not a good idea for me.. much better to stay at the altcoin that still in the list of top 20 in coinmarket cap..
and trading honestly is not kind of gambling its business that you are just lose if you do not sell it in the good price..

Trading can be considering as a gambling when the trader do the trade with no skill, only based on feeling and luck don't have technical analysis don't know how to see the trend don't know how to manage the capital, but if trader do it the trade with skill and always analysis the market we can't say trading is considering as a gambling. And one of the different thing trading and gambling is, trading is sell and buy with a product there's product in trading.

In fact there are people who practice trading without having skills, and this ends up costing money to them. However, the problem lies in the way these people practice trading, not in trading itself. So I think even in this case we can not say that trading is gambling, but we can say that such people are investing in it as if trading was gambling.

If you are spending your hard earned money while trading then you will be really careful and study everything about trading and the coins or stocks you are trading, other than that no one dares to gamble with their own hard earned money.

What is the definition of gambling? In general, the definition of gambling is when you bet with -EV and to win basically rely on luck.

Does trading basically rely on luck? I think if you are a bad trader, then your win basically rely on luck. Hence, I would say that if you are a bad trader, trading definetely can be considered as gambling.

When you trade, you are selling one product for another, or trading one product for another. For example, if you trade your car which is worth $10K for car which is worth $9K, i would say you are bed trader and it has to do anything with luck.
Also you could say you trade 1$ for 1 lottery ticket, or better, 1$ for 1 dice roll, right? We all know it doesn't work that way.

Yeah, in that sense the Bitcoin market does not differ much from most stock markets. What is innovative is the fact that in the Bitcoin market are being traded digital assets.

However, unlike gambling, in this type of environment, it is possible to improve the view of the market and predict more accurately how the price can vary, depending on the events that occur in the economy and in the world. Such an analysis does not apply to gambling, making it difficult to reduce risks, and that is probably the big difference.

For me trading is not considered as gambling in trading you need yourself to be educated to make the right decision and place the odds in your favor. There are no element of randomness in trading, you can be pretty sure that they're not gambling away huge amounts of money every day at random. a lot of individual traders, make consistent profits from trading.
yes trading cannot be consider as gambling, because gambling is some thing different from trading. in gambling we mostly depend on our luck, and there is very little interference of your skill and experience, while in trading we kneed a proper knowledge skill and some previous experience.
to me if we look at the risk involve in both trading and gambling then we can consider it as gambling i think it is not a solid reason. because in trading our experience and our skill can play important role in trading, while gambling totally depending on luck.
- I agree with you, in trading need to use the skills and experience to win
- In gambling, Skills are useless, win or lose depends on luck
- Gambling and trading have many similarities, but can not be considered trading as gambling
in some cases even in gambling you can use your skill and experience. like in sports gambling if you have some good knowledge about the team and the players then you can show good result in gambling because your skill and your experience can work here in gambling.

Yes taking risk to both but there are difference depends on how much you will going to spend on that thing in gambling it easy to earn money if you know how to gambled perfectly , while in trading you need weeks before earning profit or you can earn by short term of trading. I commonly trade i don't have luck on gambling even i played everyday lol.
In speaking of risk both gambling and trading do really have it but they have difference on ways on how to gain money of profits with it but I could say trading do really have the edge because you could really study and learn it unlike on gambling which you would just need to place bets and your good to go unlike on trading you would really need to plan on your trade set-ups.
well that's right if you want to grow more with trading you needed to understand all the possibilities why the market or the stocks will move and good thing with trading everytime there's some downfall or uphill you will be informed with certain news that will affect your supported stocks, unlike gambling its really pure luck that you need from time to time.
Agree, technical analysis and news/informations on markets will surely help you out in trading stocks and currencies the same on trading on bitcoin but I could say it easier to trade in bitcoin because forex/stock trading is very crucial and its very hard.Knowing the successful traders all over the world is just 10% and 95% of them are those people/trader who burned their accounts.

we need more knowledge to do forex/stock trading and i think its better doing trading but we need to learn something about trading to get success. but with the technical analysis and some experience i think we can survive and make a lot of profit in trading. but don't forget that in gambling, sports betting have a chance to be like trading. because sports betting need knowledge too like trading so both have the same opportunity to make profit and have a same risk to loss money.
