Such a feature is already in place. Just click on this link and a list of your recent reports will open.

Maybe you forgot that the Report History Page is only available if a user has 300+ reports. Less than that, it is disabled.

I was about to ask the same question.

Even if someone makes 300+ reports, do all the reports stay in the history, starting from the first report, or are only the reports mentioned in the history starting from the 301st?

Do these reports have a visibility decay time, or are the details of every report made visible, even after years?

@Charles-Tim  initiative makes sense and it would be njcie to be able to see that, but as we know it almost certainly won't be aapproved.  Tongue

I think that I read somewhere that 300 reports requirement has been lowered and now you need like few dozens of reports (or something like that) in order to get report history. If you ask me, report requirement should be removed alltogether, esepcially now when not many people care to report spam on the regular basis.

It is written in this [Unofficial Guide] Reporting effectively

Can user that reported a post see his own comment? That is not possible. It would be good if it can be in a way that I can click on good, bad and unhandled that is at the right part of each report and be able to see my comment after I reported a post.
But I don't know it is wanted by Charles-Tim, as he wanted to see his comment, what does comment mean here?

I really don't know what he want.

I also agree that special privileges should be given to those who constantly report posts because they keep the forum clean.

Those who often send reports, and their reports are accepted as good, understand enough how to send and how to report to the moderator. I don't think they need such privileges. The goal is different. There are rarely reports marked "bad," and surely the one who sends a report and receives an error can conclude that he did something wrong.

In any case, rare "bad" answers should not affect the mood of the reporter (I have seen complaints) or his further activities.

Those who often send and receive "bad," should change their views on what they do not like Smiley.

The space below the textbox where we write our comments about the report can be utilized to show previous reports. I'm talking about this space:

Here's a list like this.

It really doesn't make much sense, you not knowing the reports you've already made.

I understand why SMF doesn't have this feature. But a forum like ours is a little different from most forums out there.
Now, I also believe that even with an add-on, it may be complicated to implement this measure.

It's not a bad idea in general if it's implementable. However, I have a different thing in mind for the same purpose but just a different way of implementing it. The space below the textbox where we write our comments about the report can be utilized to show previous reports. I'm talking about this space:

(It should come directly below the textbox and everything below that should be pushed down.)

Reports should be shown in a table with the link to the reported post/thread, report date, and the remark, such as "Good", "Bad", or "Unhandled. Let me show you how I'm suggesting it to be.

The way I see it, as long as the moderators review the post before making any decision, then it's no biggie. The reported post or poster won't get some punishment if the report is marked as bad. This becomes an issue if the moderators don't review the post, which they always do.
The only issue here is a bad post might have gotten away with a report except you can remember the post to look for it.

I also agree that special privileges should be given to those who constantly report posts because they keep the forum clean.

[1] In some cases, mod/GM send you a private message to tell you why the report was marked as bad.

maybe PowerGlove can help with this patch, As he helped with improving the privacy "Last Seen Online" Patch.
[2] While it's a good idea, without additional permissions @PowerGlove won't be able to do anything.

[1] I guess this is done to responsible reports.
[2] When PowerGlove worked on the "Last Active" patch, was he given extra privileges, or did he open the SFM source code to implement that patch and forward it to theymos to make it official, If that's the case, then I am sure PowerGolve will come with something.

Except you are wanting to get the admin privilege otherwise it's not possible for you to have those options enable. But however, I believe something can still be done that way you said.
That is true but both admin and moderators have the privilege. Yet there are some things that admin might be able to do but which moderators will not be able to do. It is also possible that this can be implemented and the reason for the suggestion. Even it can be done in a way some users will be be able to do it while other will not be able to.
Good! That means from your suggestions only those who are mostly reporting post can have this privilege and not just all, only reputable members whom their reports are seems to be urgent when reported.
Maybe I will also suggest you create something like a vote or where theymos could give those who are more active in reporting post this privilege to only view and not deletion.
Does this make sense to you or it's not necessary to create something like that?

I don't think SMF supports that feature, so it most likely has to be done manually; maybe PowerGlove can help with this patch, As he helped with improving the privacy "Last Seen Online" Patch.

Since there is a certain number of posts you will report to that will enable you to see which of your reports is marked as bad and which one is marked as good, which is not so for those who just start reporting newly, the option you suggested will be a good one; at least you can be able to judge yourself the reason why a report is marked as good or bad, either based on the misinformation on the comment before reporting, as you might be reporting for something else and end up adding another description to the report.

If you have some post unhandled that means the admin or mod have never given their final judgement on that particular post or those posts doesn't go against their standards IMO.
I am not asking what unhandled reports are. You first paragraph is what that is related to my question. Let me quote it.

I was surprised to see that I reported a post which I did not remember that I reported. But definitely I reported it and it could be a mistake from me as I could have wanted to report another post instead. It has been long that my report was marked bad until I saw another one today which brought up this suggestion back to my mind.

Can user that reported a post see his own comment? That is not possible. It would be good if it can be in a way that I can click on good, bad and unhandled that is at the right part of each report and be able to see my comment after I reported a post.

Bad reports are not bad, but just what that brought up this question back on mind.
