You can login with different IPs without any fear. There is no such restriction here and I love this freedom while I am traveling to different destinations. Of cource this freedom comes at the cost of compromise on security. Always take care of your account access.

Why not simply ask the campaign managers on the Cryptotalk site? I mean the question is about how they manage their stuff there, so that is where you should get a proper empirical answer, and not here where, even if you do get an answer, it may be a due to someone not being spotted yet.

Because I didn't get an answer there. I thought that maybe some members here have experienced logging with different IPs there.

So, according to what you said, Bitcointalk forum has no problem with multiple IP addresses but now my concern is about Cryptotalk forum.
I don't want to risk losing my income there. Is there anyone here who has the experience of logging with different IPs in Cryptotalk? What happened?

I haven't seen anyone banned on this forum for using VPN to browse it. I've also been using it. The only problem you may encounter is during registration and the IP ha s already been blacklisted

Will my account be banned if I login here with a different IP address?
No, I'm always changing my IP address, even during sessions and I've never encountered any problem.
Why would a forum ban a user just from changing IP address? Huh

I use a lot of ip addresses as well.
I think he is afraid someone might think multiple people are using the same account.

I read something about that when I just created my account, but never had any problems changing my ip

I see I am using and thinking of keep of using free VPN since I rarely use it.
In many situations, using a free VPN is inferior to using no VPN at all. Instead of your ISP being able to see all your traffic, you are letting the VPN provider see all your traffic. Many of these providers sell your details and information to third parties, including marketing agencies, data collection companies, government agencies, and so forth.

is ProtonVPN a go-to VPN service or do you have something better VPN to suggest that won't affect my internet speed drastically?
ProtonVPN do have a free version (with some limitations), and they are the only free VPN I would even consider using. In terms of a paid VPN, I would recommend checking out both https://thatoneprivacysite.net/#detailed-vpn-comparison and https://www.privacytools.io/providers/vpn/.

Hello dear members.
I have a problem. I have to travel to another city for about a month. I must get another internet service from another ISP. So, my IP address will definitely be changed. Will my account be banned if I login here with a different IP address?

I have also the same problem with Cryptotalk forum. Do they ban my account too?

If you looked on the meta there was not a single person who got a ban from using a different IP or shared IP,  members got ban from scamming, spamming and breaking the forum rules and there are no forum rules that says you cannot use more than IP and besides most of the forum users are also using VPN.

just a question, is it safe to use free VPN services?
No.

"If you're not paying for the product, you are the product."

Some good VPNs offer a free or trial tier, like ProtonVPN, but most (mainly on the play store or chrome extension store) will log your data and sell it for third parties.

also, does VPN uses the same IP address of the country you previously connected before ? or does it change every time you connect to it?
sorry, I rarely use VPN and not that familiar with it.
This varies from VPN to VPN. Must have a pool of IPs which are allocated randomly.

I see I am using and thinking of keep of using free VPN since I rarely use it. but I guess I'll have to invest several bucks for better security/VPN. is ProtonVPN a go-to VPN service or do

That's correct. Free VPNs are like free antivirus software. You get a free product but you're getting a ton of issues with it and a false promise of protection. You think you're set up now and start browsing freely trusting in the software not knowing when it will let you down. Free safety software is like those cheap motorcycle helmets made of plastic and foam. You're getting your money's worth - no money no worth.

Good VPN services can be really cheap if you get a good deal (black friday). Like normally you have to pay $50-100 per year but there are special offers where for the price of 2 years you get 5 and so on with a money back guarantee. These things are so cheap that it's always better to use those than free ones unless you want to be a tryhard and register for a free trial from a new email every month.

I get 50gb a month free from windscribe and it works perfectly. Their ethos is that you'll run out and cough up. I think you get 20 these days.

I wouldn't use a random VPN found in some app store. There's too much room for taking the piss.

The only problem you might have if you use public WiFi, is that the provider may block Bitcoin Talk.
I would advocate for using a VPN at all times on public WiFis to protect your traffic from prying eyes, and doing so would also unblock any restricted sites.

I've seen people have two accounts here. First they use as primary, second they use while they are using unsecured connection. I dont know much about it (is it allowed by the rules or someone gave them such an allowance), but you can think about that option.

Alt accounts aren't prohibited. You can have as many accounts as you want. What you can't do is use another account if you have one banned permanently (bannable offense), or if you are cheating bounties/signatures/scamming with multiple accounts (not a bannable offense, but will get you a few negative trusts.)

Even mods have multiple accounts.

The only thing that could bring trouble for you, is if the IP you are going to use, was previously used by someone who got banned on Bitcointalk.
I somehow doubt that even that scenario could cause issues (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
You are correct. If you are trying to create a new account from an IP previously associated with a banned account then you will have to pay an evil fee, but once your account is active it is perfectly safe to log in from any IPs, even evil ones.

I switch countries all the time and am often on a VPN.

I've never had any trouble so far and have never been shown the door.

It seems very rare that people report the evil IP thing. I'd be curious to know how common it is.

I presume cryptotalk is waay more paranoid about being gamed so they'll be a lot stricter.

There are different rules here and on Cryptotalk forum. IP address change does not matter in this forum.  Cryptotalk does not allow multiple accounts and therefore they monitor the IP and ban the accounts if they come from the same IP. However some people may get disadvantages if they login from office network or public places and might still get ban there.

So sad to hear this because I'm already earning from Cryptotalk and if I move to another place my income will be ruined due to different IP address.   Cry
This is not fair because people can't stay in one place their whole lives!

Don't be so sad...
I didn't meant that you have to keep the same IP for cryptotalk. Also they check from which browser and version are you logging in. So if you really do not have multiple accounts at cryptotalk , you are safe and you do not need to worry about anything.

This is what I love about Bitcointalk, this is more democratic than any other forum I've joined, yes you can log in in any device and in any IP but it's still recommended if you can to use VPN whenever you log in online especially that you are a traveller, travelling and using various IP, with VPN you are protected from any network hacking.

You might want to test what IP you are getting here:

https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php

And then try to used TOR or VPN and see how it goes for you. But just like the rest of guys are saying here, there's no risk of having multiple IP's.

But as far as Cryptotalk forum, we can't really answer that for you.
