Tried a android apps miner(mobile phone heater) at 2013, it can generate few khs.
Here is the link to an Android app to mine on your phone. It works well I have used it. I get about 4.5khs with it, so not much power, but fun to play with.

That's one of all the apps that are on the App Store but the hash power of a mobile phone is really ridiculous.
How many kHs do you have with your mobile phone mining a coin? You're going to destroy your phone just for nothing

Well there is apps but you get zero hashrate and you never will profit.

I remember there were a few coins in the past that attempted to make it where you could mine on your phone, but the GPUs were never big enough. But now that is not a problem, so, does anyone know of anyone that has plans to do anything using this new development?

Not only ASICs. These are MODULAR PHONES. Meaning, if you want a new camera, buy one and slip it in. If you want a bigger battery, buy one and slip it in. If you want a thumb print lock, buy one and slip it in.
Such modularity , much wow . But on serious note , I think if such phones are possible then its good because you don't have to pay for all the extra crap that you don't want.
Yeah, Droid is about to change the game.
They will probably eventually have like "Tango Project" inserts to make your phone aware of things around it, instead of just able to record. They will probably make "Google Glass"/"Google Cardboard" inserts to make your phone in to Virtual Reality glasses, etc.

If you had an ASIC you could just mine alts for short periods of time and get plenty.
