the block "eruptors" are history, they were so aesthetic, nice lights, no noise, the good old days of mining ...

Anything's possible... likely? No, it will take you millions of years to find a block on average. As for why they sell them to you, it's because it's easy to sell hardware to people who don't know what it is they're buying if the sales pitch is all bullshit.

I bought on Amazon UK, And sales pitch was that I could earn at least 25 bitcoin per month. If that's really not true I will raise an issue with Amazon

I seriously doubt that, bet that it actually said "up to 25 bitcoins per month", which is in theory true.

Can you post the amazon listing? I find it hard to believe this happening to.  I can't imagine anyone listing that way.

If so if you contact amazon I bet you could get money back.  (Depending on time and if you believed it.. which is hard to believe anyone would believe).   But amazon is very good on taking care of customers if listed wrong.

You can mine also with a block eruptor, but there is a very small chance you will find a block.

The higher your hashrate, the bigger your 'luck' of find a block. The problem with your hashrate is that you use a very outdated miner. It is like you are playing watchting movies on a VHS casette. Almost nobody does it, since it just makes no sense..

Probability of earning 25 bitcoin every month pretty much ZERO.

You MIGHT get lucky and get a block once a few DECADES.

I'm currently running a little over 7 TERRAHASH and pulling in on average a bit more than 1 bitcoin a MONTH (pool mining via Slush's pool) - which has been dropping quite a bit due to high diffuculty increases since the release of the S7 and especially the release of the Avalon 6 (and ramped up production/sales of both).

IIRC the Block Eruptors had a highest version around 350 MH - that's less than 1/20000 (yes, One over Twenty THOUSAND) of the hashrate of my current Bitcoin mining setup. You do the math.

Yeah...hmmm...one block eruptor...you have one chance every 10 minutes (aproximately)..one chance in many billion.

So yeah there is a chance, but unlikely in your lifetime, your childrens lifetime and their childrens lifetimes.  BUT there is a chance, so why not ?  point that stick at solo ckpool, its like a very, very bad lotto ticket.

There ìs a chance but like everyone said the chance of hitting a block to get that reward is so minute.  If you have spent a good bit of cash on those erupters and can't get a refund you could use them to mine some altcoins maybe to make some of your dough back.

I'm wondering also what pool you are using and what your level of hash power is because that looks like a crazy low amount for a month.

Its not going to earn him any more, we're talking about a miner here doing MH/s. Yes MH's. Not GH, or TH, or PH that you need. Him earning 1$ of altcoin before he dies of old age is not going to recoup getting scammed by 2500Euros.

The only thing he can do is get refunded. Seeing how he was the buyer and he got clear cut scammed, it should be easy to do.

Its always possible to run the stick as a lottery, which is fine in itself imo. Its similar chance to winning IRL lottery, so its not impossible, its just not worth 2500Euroes.

Can you mine solo with a block erupter?
Yes you can, however the chances of you hitting a block are incredibly low so its not worth the time and the effort. You will loose money to electricity charges, you won't loose a lot of money but still a small amount of money to electricity charges.
You can compare it to buying lottery tickets, your chances of winning are incredibly low. When it comes to mining with a block erupter your chances of hitting a block are far far far, lower than winning a lottery.

some math  3 block erupter = 1 gh

1000 gh =  1th

1000 th = 1ph

so 3,000,000  block erupters = 1 ph

if you mine for 4 days at 1ph your have a good chance of hitting a block

if you mine for 12,000,000 days or 32,876 years  your chances would be the same if difficulty never changed.

the problem is difficulty changes every 2 weeks.  This why people say the chances are terrible since difficulty usually rises.

The odds of mining a bitcoin block with a block erupter are so absurdly low, it's best not to bother. However difficult you think it may be, it's probably orders of magnitude more difficult than that.

However, some people simply like to mine. If that's you, then try mining a SHA-256 altcoin. Far, far better odds of finding a block.

don' t try to play the lottery game with it, the things are not remotely comparable, even the hardest lottery ticket it's nothing in comaprison

you're more likely to win two+ times in a row a very hard lottery ticket than solo mining the next block or mining a block in the next century

You can solo mine with anything.

The issue is that the probability of actually making anything is pretty much zero, except MAYBE with an S7 or an Avalon 6 (possibly anything new that isn't out yet like the B-Eleven and anything Innosilicon A4 based).

Yeah, a block eruptor isn't worth running at all anymore even if it was free since it uses more power than it makes in bitcoin. You should ask Amazon for a full refund and maybe even file a fraud complain with your bank/credit card if that doesn't work.

Well maybe when the block eruptors were new you could of found 25 blocks a month. Now ? impossible
they may earn 25 coins in 1 month it they hit a solo block

The chance of hitting that block via solo is under 1 in a million

Ouch that is straight up BS I'm sorry. I own one erupter and I've thought about plugging her in for a minimal chance of hitting a block solo.  Try it out, it's worth a shot but don't expect it to happen.

You got flat out scammed. You'd need this much bulky, but still old hardware to earn that much;

That is the biggest load of horse shit I've heard in a very long time. You won't earn 25 bitcoin from them if they mine for the next 100 years.
