Eh, there's huge amounts of coins that were bought weeks ago and are in 10x+ profit. People can dump and walk away happy. Don't blame 'em, really. Cash out for the sure money.

Last night there were some large sell walls of 23 BTC and 18 BTC that were literally pushing the price down and a lot of scooping up of under-14k coins were being bought up.
No doubt the whales and large coin holders have the ability to sell off a few BTC of the coin, which freaks out holders, and causes more selling, 45 minutes before the event...
This tactic no doubt works, looks at the market activity, there are buys just as well as sells. Large holders selling and causing panic and they are buying up the panic sells increasing their position for profit.
