It doesnt look like this coin is getting used or there isnt really any purpose to it and the development has died off. I would like to start mining but dont know if this project is stale......

Any news about this coin. I like it and think about buying it on bittrex. Is now a good time to invest or should i wait until the price rise again. For now it seems that there is not happening much.

Hope it soon gets legalized in whole Europe also. But I fear, that the pharma lobby is still to strong to give us back our medicine from nature.

And which rock did you crawl out from under?  The USA has had 50 states since 1959, this is a fact.  Also a fact is that 29 states and the District of Columbia have all passed legislation legalizing MMJ  in some capacity.  What this does is establish a legal precedent for defense from laws that contradict their individual MMJ laws.  This does not necessarily establish an eco system, but is the first step in correcting years of failed policy both home and broad.

I'm sorry none of the states around the country have legalized medical marijuana, and there are only 9 states in the country not more than 20 - Duh!

The doctors who recommended this treatment say that the cannabidiol in the plant interacts with the brain cells to quiet the excessive activity in the brain that causes these seizures.

So those are some of the benefits from this medicinal plant and you may do your research to know more benifits from it.

Are there any events or plans for CANN in the near future?

Can I ask how long it took for the bootstrap to finish importing from disk? I started the import about 14 hours ago, and it's going ....a bit faster than via the network, but it's hard to say. I'm at 44 weeks behind currently. This is on an m.2 NVME 'disk' on a fast machine, so it's puzzling that it's not going faster.

EDIT: moot point now, all caught up!

As promised, I've uploaded the CannabisCoin (CANN) blockchain bootstrap file to https://we.tl/lcOoDYc8GU (expires 2017-09-25, hurry!)

I'm happy to say I let the sync finish and was able to transfer some currency into and out of my CANN wallet. Yay!

The download filename is cannabiscoin_bootstrap_block2415205.zip which contains through block 2,415,205 that occurred on 2017-09-19 02:19:39 (presumably GMT).  This file should give you a huge jumpstart on syncing with the blockchain, unless you're an anthropologist in the year 2038 wondering why we were talking about all these things back in 2017.

I might have two possible solutions for you. I honestly won't know if either works until later today but I've got pretty good evidence I'm well on my way.

First, you can try updating your configuration file. I found the following list on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cann/#!network and what's really important to note is that I only selected nodes connecting in the last 24-hours with the highest version of the protocol: 0.8.7.1.

Second, I'll be posting a complete blockchain later tonight and adding a link here. Using the list of nodes I mentioned above I started syncing with the network from scratch and have surpassed the 'bad zone' of block 2,281,999. Right now I'm well on my way to having the entire blockchain sycn'd hopefully in 18 more hours or so (7pm PDT 18-Sept / 02:00 GMT 19-Sept).  My 9-year old Mac at work has been cranking away on that thing for the last 5 days--what a trooper!

So, here's the list of addnodes that I'm currently using. There's LOTS of instructions in the wild on where to find your configuration file.  My advice is to remove every addnode you have and replace it with these.

I'll update this forum once I've posted my complete CANN blockchain file.
