No I dont escrow anymore.
Wow. I've just finished syncing my wallet, and then did zapwallet...it's removed my conflicted transaction from the transaction page, and my 6bitcoins have NOT been put back in my wallet. Have i lost my bitcoins for ever? Surely this should not be possible?!?! All i did was send 6 bitcoins to my BTC-E wallet, and i get all this hassle and the loss of 6bitcoins because of this! What do i do? If anyone can get my 6btc back, a 1BTC bounty will be handed out.

Were the coin you used confirmed before you issued the transaction or did you quickly create a transaction after you received them? I ask because -zapwallettxes removed all unconfirmed transactions, received and created, from your wallet. It does not remove confirmed transactions or private keys/addresses.

Your Bitcoin is safe as long as you have that wallet file.

It should be rescanning the blockchain now to see how much Bitcoin you have. You might have to restart Bitcoin Core with the rescan option.

Indeed the transaction can not be found, also the receiving address never got the 6 BTC: https://blockchain.info/address/1PzcBCFY3pYkTFH23A7577QuwseF7yQBa2

Is there any way you can post TX?

how do i do that buddy? thanks.

For BTC-E wallet i dont know... find the transaction details and past everything you have here

I sent the bitcoins from my bitcoin wallet to my BTC-E wallet, however there is no record of it reaching that wallet, let alone of it being confirmed on blockchain, etc.
This is all i have:

Appreciate the in-depth reply, quality user, now i have a full understanding of where im at. Please PM your BTC address.

Don't worry about it.  I'm glad to help.  If you really want to spend some bitcoins in thanks, then find a charity that accepts bitcoins and make a donation.  This will reward the charity for choosing to accept bitcoins and will encourage other charities to do the same to increase their revenue sources.  This increased economic activity will demonstrate to merchants that bitcoin is a viable payment system and more merchants will consider adding it.  The increased adoption of bitcoin will benefit all of us.

The good thing is that if i go into my transaction directory, all my transactions are listed, so that's a good thing?

Yes.  That is a very good sign that your wallet.dat is probably fine and that you will see all of your bitcoins back in your wallet when the rescan (or redownload) is done.

Once the scan is done, you'll want to run with the -zapwallettxes as shorena has indicated.  This will remove all transactions from the wallet.dat, and will rescan the blockchain to find only transactions that have actually confirmed.  When the scan is done, all the confirmed transactions will have been found in the blockchain and will therefore be returned to your wallet, but any unconfirmed transactions will have vanished from the wallet.  Since the unconfirmed transactions will no longer exist, the bitcoins associated with them will show up in your balance again so that you can re-send them.

The newer versions of the software use a different database (blockchain) structure than the older versions.  The first time you run with the new version, it should convert it for you.

If you then run the old version, it may not have recognized the updated blockchain and it might therefore have thought that the blockchain was damaged.  It may therefore have removed the blockchain so it could re-download it.

Then when you started the new version again, it sees that the blockchain is gone and it starts downloading it.

3 years and 50 weeks is not the amount of time that you'll need to wait.  That's just telling you that the most recent block that the wallet has processed is the one from 3 years and 50 weeks ago.  The wallet will process all the blocks in order until it gets caught up to the most recently created block.  The amount of time that this takes will depend on the hardware that you are running with (how much RAM, how fast of a hard drive, how much CPU power, etc). It could take a few hours or if your hardware is slow enough it could take several days.

As the wallet processes blocks, it will look to see if the block included any transactions that sent bitcoins to you.  If so it will update the balance so that you'll know how many bitcoins you have.  Therefore the balance that the wallet is showing you is likely to be incorrect until it is done synchronizing the blockchain.

Once the wallet is done with the synchronization, you can run with the -zapwallettxes option as shorena has indicated.  This will not re-download the entire blockchain, but it will re-scan the blockchain that you already have.  That process could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.  When the scan is done you should have all of your bitcoins back (including the 6 that you tried to send to BTC-e).  You'll then be able to create a new transaction to send to BTC-e if you want.

In the future, I'd suggest not letting yourself fall so far behind in software versions.  New versions generally include very useful new features, and more importantly they include fixes to bugs.  Not having those fixes can lead to these sort of delays and frustrations as you try to work around what the old version did.

Omg.. i just upgraded my wallet, ran the application and it displayed my current stats, etc. Just closed it and then re-opened and it saids i need to wait 4years and i have 0BTC balance?

It's resetting the blockchain, you will have your BTC back once it is finished but it won't take 4 years, that's just the time frame in the blockchain it's at.

That does not sound right. An update to the latest version should not remove the blockchain data.

I have my old bitcoin.exe, and the new upgraded bitcoin.exe, when i upgraded my wallet and ran the application it was upgraded and it displayed everything correctly (still missing the 6btc however).
Then i closed that, and i accidental clicked the old bitcoin.exe, and then closed that to open my new one and now i need to wait 3 years and 50 weeks.. is there anything i can do?

First things first: make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat file.

If you say you have the .exe files. Do you have them in seperate folders? Because usually if you install a new version of bitcoin core it just installs over the old version. So there should be no old .exe to click on.

The way newer versions handle the blockchain differently as they can store it out of order (block 7443 before block 435). Thus if you start the old .exe file it would probably get confused by the data and try to rescan from scratch.

Yeah i made sure i had a copy of my wallet.dat... dont want to be losing 54 bitcoins lol. So im guessing i just confused it, since its rescanning.. ill have to wait for this to sync which by the looks of things, will take a while.

The good thing is that if i go into my transaction directory, all my transactions are listed, so that's a good thing?

For some reason my last thread was deleted, with no reason?

I'm willing to reward anyone who can fix this for me..

I sent my bitcoins to BTC-E, however there is no confirmations after 48 hours, nor is there any log on blockchain of the transaction using the ID?

How do i get my bitcoins back?

If there is no TXID, your bitcoins haven't moved so no need to "get them back."

Try quitting Bitcoin core and relaunching with the -zapwallet parameter.

Then resend with the recommended fees.

Edit:  the old thread had more info.  Backup wallet.dat.  So, run the current version.  If it is behind, let it resync. Try re-sending once it does.

Bitcoin Core v0.10 and above is not compatible with older versions due to the headers-first synchronization. Hence, it may be trying to reindex again.

Try upgrading to a newer version, the older version may be producing a high S value transactions which is considered non standard.
Before that, make a new backup of the wallet just in case.

1st sorry for reporting your post to be moved here. I understood it so that you could not withdraw from BTC-E.

To remove the conflicted transaction from your wallet you need to:

#1 close bitcoin core
#2 restart it with -zapwallettxes
#2.1 e.g. for windows you open run (press Win + R), enter: c:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes (modify path if needed) and confirm with ok
#2.2. for linux / mac you open a terminal and enter bitcoin-qt -zapwallettxes. That should work in most cases, if not let us know the error message
#3 wait a bit, the TX will be gone once the wallet has done its thing.
