If somebody wants to donate me a few CAPT cents and help testing the API:
  • Go to https://api.captcoin.com/demo/
  • Select a random product and create an order
  • Send any amount above ⟳0.01 to the shown address
  • Wait for it to automatically update Smiley
(Payments will be forwarded to my address)

Let me know how it goes.

Receive Payment API - PHP Demo

I've just created a small but functional PHP demo that shows how to use these APIs:

If you have a web server with PHP and MySQL, it will take 5 minutes to install and test.

You can download it here:
https://api.captcoin.com/receive_payment_php_demo.zip

I haven't uploaded it yet to GitHub because I want some feedback first.

Please install it and post your feedback!

Don't forget about this.

This merchant tool is a very important piece to increase CAPTcoin acceptance, and it can't go live without proper testing.

With the halving tomorrow it is even more interesting to buy CAPTcoin.

They are very cheap on the moment.
With an investment of $12 you already have around 1000 Capt Coins. You can do that for example at Atomic trade, or Coin-swap. If you don't want to pay with US dollars you can make a deposit with BTC or an other crypto-currency and convert them to CAPTcoin

It is of course also possible to resolve 12000 Captcha's to aquire the 1000 CAPTcoins.  Tongue

BUY, BUY, BUY!

I think its a great investment to buy any CAPT's on the exchanges for under 5,000 saotshi each because they are going to be worth over 30,000 once the free CAPT's stop.

I hope someone holding a lot of coins will not dumped when market cap suddenly becomes worth millions of dollars.

Agreed! anyone holding a lot of coins should not dump but rather try to use use them in merchandise etc. Even better is to hold it to get the 30% inflation annually. Personally my strategy is to use or sell only the staked inflation coins and hope for the coins to reach BTC price level in the years to come. Think LONG TERM!

True, we both have same strategy. It would be more profitable if you only sell the staked inflation. Coin value will just rise every year since the coin can only be mined by people who has it.

+1000.

At BTC price level, we will be having quite a handful of CAPTcoin Millionaires. Smiley

looking at the http://get.captcoin.com/addresses.html CAPT is distributed very fairly over a large number of miners some 90+ miners have already got 3000+ coins. Maybe one day we could see the actual rich list too.

They'll be millionaires only if they won't sell their coins below $100 each and that is if captcoin reach $100 per coin.

Got my coins in my wallet and been opened for almost 9 hours but staking doesn't seem to have started yet. How do you your wallet is staking? The little icon at the bottom right corner for staking is not even there.

Wallet is unlocked, unencrypted so that's not the problem.

Am I missing something?

Staking is a random process, but the older your coins are, and the more coins you have, the more likely you are to stake.

Minimum age is 8 hours, so with 9 hour old coins it's not very likely to stake yet, considering other people have several-week old coins.

Just wait and you'll eventually stake.

An idea for Captcoin:
A language learning-site. Parents can give their children pocket money when the children learn. If a word is translated correctly, the child gets a small amount. Since there are good programs, repeat the words daily, weekly, etc.
The parents pay a certain amount capt's to their children, when they have learned certain amount of vocabulary. One hour of learning and they get Capt on their smartphone.
At the same time Capt earn money if minimal advertising appears. This money can then go for the minimum price of capt. (I mean we need an escrow fund that can buy capt. Simply for the price to stabilize.) As a kind of return for capt holder.
If the idea of someone like, it is free. I can not realize that.

The child has a sense of achievement. It learns when I learn, then I have money.

Just about 6 hr 15mins more for the reward to be halved haha.. Lets see what happens.

-Thanks-

Don't expect any big reaction to the halving of rewards. You'll have to wait until the the remaining coins that were not earned destroyed. Seeing the big mess that's going on in alts, people might hesitate to buy. Not until the millions of coins controlled by the dev in those wallets are completely destroyed.

Anyways whats the current supply at the moment? I mean total coins in circulation excluding 1 million wallets?
I think it's around 2 1/2 million, probably a bit more. by the way, anyone see the amount claimed on get.captcoin.com go way up because of the halfing? Almost 1 million coins claimed in just a few days Smiley

Current Data :

TOTAL: 15,136 addresses    3,724,274 Claims.    2,262,755.7097 Coins Claimed

Just few hours left

Price will gonna boom up

Not necessarily, the volume that the dumpers are selling will just be halved.

Im thinking it will be a combination of both.

need some explanations about difficulty please
@block 107456 explore.captcoin displayed Mining Difficulty 0.00024414
at the same time on the bottom right of my client says (107456 Blocks) "Current difficulty is 0.00535501"
which one is the correct one? and what drives the difficulty up & down.... number of nodes/clients on the network?
when the difficulty is getting higher, would the faster CPU beats the slower cpu in staking coins (in the long run)?
thanks...

Not sure but in the command line i get the 0.00024414 diff which is the right now, ignore the diff showing in the bottom right corner. Might be delayed in updating I guess.

Diff goes up when the number of coins staking increases, more people staking the more diff goes up. CPU strength doesn't have any affect to staking but only the amount of coins you have in your wallet.
