Step 1: install only 1 card, and tweak BIOS until you're happy, then flash all cards with it

Step 2. install all cards, setup them 1 by 1 for least power used, highest memory clock

Step 3. Enjoy your free money

When you say tweak the bios, do you mean skip the afterburner thing and go straight to polaris bios editor?

Not skip AB, but use it AFTER you made/googled/bought good BIOS

Excellent! Many thanks!

if all cards are from the same brand/manufacturer, install them all, flash them all and happy mining.

flashing bios will not reset AB settings, but with different straps/bios you may need different settings

if you have cards from different manufacturers you will need to setup/flash them separately

They're all the same manufacturer and model.

Seems to me like with PBE1.6, I can do that 1-click option to modify the straps, and then just adjust the voltages until it gets unstable or there's a hashrate drop. Is that correct?

I have a question about the whole undervolting/bios modding/card optimising procedure.

I'm now at a stage building my rig where I'm installing the cards one-by-one, as seems to be the recommendation. I'm using 10 x RX580. While I understand most of the steps to the whole bios modding/optimising cards etc, I have a few questions. Any help is very much appreciated.

From what I can tell, on a basic level, the steps are:
1. Connect the 1st card to the mobo, fire up the machine.
2. Install drivers
3. Open mining software (in my case, it'll be claymore)
4. While mining, open Afterburner, GPU-Z, adjust core clock, memory clock, voltages to get things stable and more efficient (watch for hashrate drops, do small increments etc).
5. Flash custom BIOS to card (haven't checked to see if i've samsung or elpida, ubermix and anorak seem to be good bios's to use)
6. Repeat 3-5 for each extra card

What I'm a bit confused about is steps 4 and 5. Does flashing a different bios overwrite all those tweaks? And am I missing any other steps?
