Anyone can be deceived by words in whitepapers and such. The mindset of every investors if they will make profit from it. That's the bottomline and there's no more. I feel bad for those who were scammed by those bad projects.

i agree with this, before we put our money to the said ico we must read the white paper and website. some people just invest without reading the ico's information, without reading the website and whitepaper just invest the money without knowing that one day they might be lose thier money.

That's why research is important. You always need to read the fine print and try to avoid scams.
Even if you read their whitepaper and their roadmap all of it has a positive outlook about their ICO they will not put a negative and a thing that may get their ICO with a bad side I really think you need to research any further and look for their developers, founders and co founders if they had a trustworthy back ground or you can see a great ICO by their services and product if its gonna be a hit to the public.
There are many scammers making ICOs to scam people as they know there are many newbies in the crypto market at this time and they do not know how to check if the ICO is good or not so they invest in any ICO where they only see something good so they make scam ICOs and tell good things about that so newbies invest in those ICOs and they scam them and take their money and go away.

May we know which ICO you are talking about? and why would a thief will left something that can be evidence to his crime?why would reading whitepaper will give you an idea that he has 2billion tokens ? i dont see the the probability that they will put the information in the whitepaper if they announced that they will only sell 1million tokens from the ICO? Yes that's the first thing to do when you investing an ICO's project just read the roadmap and whitepaper including the whole team and devs of their project.
So, congrats to him he find a good ICO's project to invest in crypto currencies, many scenario like this that getting rich because of the cypto's investing.
All of us are have a chance to have more profit when it comes in investing in crypto's, but having a dip research is a must.

Agree with this, when the total supply and that price its too much. With that supply I will invest for the price of 1-2 cents per coin/token. But in ICO stage and that price, never its like they want a get quick rich project.
