yes they are not good.  I opened an acct with them and tried to transfer out some BTC and they held it up for 48 hours and cost me about $100 probably.

Why did they cost you $100? They tell you right on their website that they have a 48 hour rule for new accounts.

Hello, I've been buying BTC from VirWox for about 12 days. I got my account leveled up and could buy more BTC each day.
Until I got my account suspended, for no reason. I knew this could happen as I heard before, they don't like people to buy just BTC, but once you get contact them, they'll restore your account.
Not my case, they said they'll refund the money. I said I'll report them as SCAM as this is unacceptable, I bought BTC at USD 70, now the price is USD 120.

They can do whatever they like with the BTC, I guess if the BTC lowers the price, there's no problem, but if the BTC price rises, they'll keep the BTC and sell them by themselves to make the profit. There's no problem sir, we'll refund like nothing ever happened.

I've got a Level 4 account with Virwox that I've been using for close to a year just buying BTC using Paypal and Credit Card and I have never had a single problem with them. What was their response about your account suspension?

I've did some work with them as they were my only option to buy my first bitcoins due to day Payapl funding option, it's bloody expensive to buy there though, they are at least 10$ above gox usually and their fees are enormous.

I m sorry guys but you all are such newb-pussies.

Virwox is good I have bought a LOT of coins during the crash from them & withdrew them successfully.

They will hold your FIRST withdrawals of btc for 48-72 hours.

Their customer support is super responsive and very helpful.

So far I have not been scammed or wronged by them.

I got my coins stolen, and my money refunded. I bought them at a much cheaper price.
Your experience VS tons.

Just curious... I had like 7 Bitcoins that I purchased through Virwox back in 2011. I tried to login the other day with the username and password I had setup and it said my password was valid but had expired. I tried to reset my password and it said it was sending me a reset email but I never get it (I tried this multiple times). I then emailed [email protected] and my emails keep getting the email bounced back saying "undeliverable" (I also tried this multiple times!).

How did you ultimately reach these people? I would not trust them or do business with them ever again, but I would surely like to get my $1000.00 worth of Bitcoins back!

Thanks for any info you can provide!

If you would like you can respond to me privately you can reach me at [email protected]

Have a great day,

John

Actually, they did answered me by contacting them to this address [email protected]
They have a delay of no more than 24hs to respond.
I got a refund for the credit card. I don't think they'll just steal your coins, when I mean scammers, I mean they keep your BTC when they worth more than you paid them and make a refund to your credit card.
