I realize that might not be a solution for most of you, but maybe it can be an option for some.

Please note that we're taking a risk with this because we're sending out coins we have no payment for. I think it's small enough, though and we just want to do what's possible to calm the waves.

As much as I trust you and as much as I want the Casascius coin, I'm afraid I'm going to give one last chance.

I do understand the situation but it's getting rediculous.
So if the coins aren't sent to Molecular by next Monday, I'm going to request a refund.

Pay extra shipping and you'll get the 50cBTC although not the 100cBTC ones.

I have some bad news:

DeadTerra was unable to send the coins and will be travelling until Sunday.

We had a chat and he explained why he failed to send: he's been to three different places and each of the services told him either they couldn't insure a package with such high value or since the package contained coins, it couldn't be sent at all.



I know this is rather unacceptable given the time you guys have already waited and I'm really sorry about this situation.

I believe he is well-intentioned and not trying to rip us off in any way.

DeadTerras plan now is to send the coins on Monday next week. If necessary he will split the coins into as many packages as necessary to remain below the insurance treshold. He will also talk to other shipping services.

We also investigated the option of me travelling to Sweden and picking the coins up at someones place he could've brought them to, but unfortunately flights are prohibitively expensive (€500+) and the drive is just too long (800 km one way).

It seems there's nothing I can do at this point.

There is of course the option for me to cancel the deal with DeadTerra at this point (he failed to ship today, which was part of the agreement), but I don't think this is going to help anyone.

Again, I'm really sorry, but it looks like the wait will now be even longer.

Unfortunately I don't have 1 BTC coins myself, otherwise we would've just supplied you guys from our stock in the meantime. If anyone is in dire need of 0.5 BTC coin(s) and willing to pay an extra 0.0875 BTC for additional shipping cost, we can offer to send 0.5 BTC coin(s) from our stock beforehand. (everyone on the list has ordered at least one 1 BTC coin)

The probability for being able to ship this week is close to 0, yes. The likelyhood of the package arriving until thursday next week is very high (barring customs trouble, which is unlikely).

So yes, most likely next week.

So I guess the shipping to the costumers is next week?

afaik DeadTerra has not shipped to us yet. According to agreement he has to ship on Jun 26th (tomorrow) or earlier.

I assume he will keep to the agreement.

Any news about shipping ?

9.5 hours after the email offering to upgrade coins, just over 50% of people have successfully (including payment) upgraded their coins (while it's only about 10% of the coins)
