This is why I like my Ledger Nano S more than my Trezor, because they thought about this problem before they sold it. They have a metal housing that slides over the screen to protect it.

The Trezor is also more expensive than the Ledger, so this added cost will just make it more expensive for the customer, when they have to make the decision what to buy.

I have to say, both wallets are good value for money, so it is not a waste. ^smile^

The case look good and it is a good idea to come with cases, good luck to your sales.

Will you consider launching cases for Ledger Blue?

Thanks for the feedback.  We may investigate making a skin for the Blue in the future.

I don't need it. My Trezor stays at home, but It seems to have fallen short of the goal.! I'm in for your next try. Good Luck!

Thanks!  We ended up self funding and have sold 100 units in our first week!  It may not be for everyone but does work for others.

We completed the final mold and a production run and released this past Friday.  We have shipped out around 100 units since release and people seen to like the choice of colors so far.  I believe we have moved into early adopter stages for Cryptocurrency and it is no longer just the security/tech industry now so personalization/accessories is a market.

Looks durable and high quality. Congrats to your success!

Thanks for the feedback!  We are pretty happy with the final outcome and looking forward to bringing some additional products to market.  We are working on bringing two new hardware wallets to the USA market in Q1.

Seems to me that this is REALY a niche product for the few people carrying their TREZOR around in their pockets/keychain....
Might be easier to just print a case on a 3d printer for yourself and be done with it? Why all the hassle with kickstarter unless you think there is a market out there for Trezor protective cases? IMHO i cant see many people funding this or even buying it when/if on the market.

It looks like the case have some flaws, and silicon is the not the first thing that comes to mind when you say a case, I was thinking on something more like this (ignore the price). Either way, the idea looks very nice but since you're targeting the crypto community, It would make more sense to use a platform where cryptos are accepted such as KickICO.

Thanks for the feedback.  This is a silicone prototype so the finish is rougher than a final product produced from a mold.  Maybe title as a silicone sleeve would describe better.

Will take a look at KickICO.  Thanks!

Launched my kickstarter campaign for a protective case for the Trezor Hardware Wallet to protect from drops, scraps and to offer some personalization of your wallet.  We plan to ship approx 60 days after the campaign is completed.

Case for Trezor Wallet - Bitcoin / cryptocurrency

Please take a moment to view, share and support if you are interested in the project.  I have some additional photos at http://protectingcoin.com and in the kickstarter gallery.

trezor is the special type of wallet it is made for bit coin. it can be stored bit coin private key in a secure hardware device. this wallet has more major adventages like security and safe. no one can hack it. so try to use this wallet once really it had more advantages.

  • Cutout for the keychain loop

I am not sure how comfortable I would be keeping a quarter million dollars on my keychain.

You may want to split that amount out on a couple storage methods.  Of course, even with 250k on a single one you could easily restore it with your master seed if lost/stolen.

I am comfortable keeping that sum on my trezor as I have multiple (with the same seed), as some are used as backups, and have a backup of the seed in an offside, secure location.

My concern is keeping a trezor, which has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin on it on my keychain. If I want to spend some of my bitcoin while I am away from home, I will put a small amount on my phone and will spend from my phone.

It's a nice idea but not a lot of people will have a use for it. It's not like we carry Trezor in our pockets all the time and checking on it every 10 minutes (like phones) so they don't really have high chance of dropping. Also I think you should do something about the screen. Add like a piece of protective plastic or something.

I feel pretty much the same. Besides Trezors are pretty sturdy and there's very little that can effectively break, so I don't worry much about dropping it.

The only potential benefit I would see is the option to personalize your Trezor with the case color of your choice, but that's not something I personally care much about. To me it's still more of an object of utility rather than an accessoire. Other people may see it differently though.

Thanks for the feedback.

I do carry mine around pretty frequently in my laptop bag and use an otg cable to my mobile.  The case came about to help protect from scratches in the laptop bag and to personalize.  After selling a good amount of Trezors it seemed a good amount of people were particular about the color or they wanted more options when more than one Trezor was in a household.  I think/hope that the desire to personalize is a sign of more mainstream adoption.

I had a hunch that you were carrying your Trezor around much yourself, thus trying to solve a problem you face yourself Smiley

Given your current material and manufacturing process, is it possible to print motives on the cases some time further down the road? Sorry in case it's mentioned in your kickstarter pitch, I only read the description but didn't watch the video.

We have been reviewing some options for adding logo and print down the road.  Embedding/embossing may be less practical since it can require mold changes but some potential other printing solutions may be viable.
