Even we are in digital online payments cash is still necessities that many other people are still using it to buy goods and purchase something that they comfortable of. So, cash is not trash at all and that's we are all started on fiat currencies and we still using it up until now before digital currencies not yet available. As we trying to spread bitcoin adoption, we cannot turned our backs to fiat currencies because that's our origin of payment system.

Although cash is slowly going to history we still can't without it. Cashless society is something we would like to achieve but still large number of people is still using it and it's not willing to give it up.
I wouldn't say that cash is trash, maybe is just a form that becomes oldfashioned in this high technologies era but I think despite that it will not disappear over night.

Those people says cash is trash is been obsess already with crypto and just dreaming for something unrealistic, maybe in future it possible to happen but its somehow cannot be adopted by majority since I'm sure many will select the traditional payment system. Maybe some use the cashless due to pandemic but everything will be back to normal once the world will be at good state.

Cash is just a tool, the same as crypto is a tool, and in the time when we technology progress, it seems that crypto is a better tool. Why hate cash? It was good because we didn't have anything better, there's no need for hate speech now, we just need to transfer to something better and learn about it, to try to understand it.
I am not sure about going back to normal, this is taking too long.

People don't try new opportunities as they are comfortable with the ones that they were already using and they think its risky to invest money in new areas. Even I am one of those people, I know DeFi is now the future and yet I fear that I will lose money investing in DeFi projects but still I have a good friend of mine who advise me to hold LINK token and so I purchased some tokens and have been sitting on them from a little while. But cash is just trash and useless in these times when everyone is using and promoting digital means of payment.
There is no problem in investing but in pandemic times, cash is actually what people need. Many businesses were stopped due to this pandemic and our investments were also affected so for the meantime, cash is what you need to survive in this times.
Fiat is what people need these days, government started to aid some cash online using digital processors so every one can get theirs, and not crypto. Cash won't be gone forever, we will need it even if we fully adopted the digital and cryptocurrencies, there are things that is better traditional than being innovated. During the pandemic, most of us expected that crypto will be on the table of a larger scale but it ain't, instead the government make this time to think of a new digital system that will be running alongside with crypto.
I agree with as well. Cash will be there as long as there will be people that haven't adopted the digital changes for transactions. Not everyone can go digitally and adopt it easily as what we are doing. There will be people who haven't been introduced to technology that will have hard time using it.

I agree with hatshepsut that it's about being flexible in whichever season we are. In pandemic times or not, as long as you know how to adopt the situation and you know what's applicable to you being an investor or someone who wants to play safe.
If you got spare money then invest, there are lot of asset today that is on a price plunge, so better look for opportunities that lies within.
It's also the best time to invest in these times, many assets get lower in price so it's true. If we have spare cash to spend for these assets and you understand that it's a good time to buy, do it.

Everyone was laughing on Ray Diallo when he said his famous phrase "cash is trash" on 2019 and they even laughed more when his hedge fund tanked 30% under water on early 2020. guess what, US stock markets are bullish again and on a stunning V-shaped recovery and Gold recently hit all time high and bitcoin of course in its way to break new price record. So, who's laughing now!. he was damn right.
So what you are trying to tell, cash is a legal tender and i consider bitcoin as a legal tender as well as both have the same properties but on have a blockchain trial while the currency minted by the government does not have that kind of transparency even though every coin minted will have a serial number. You cannot live without fiat currency and it is a fact as you cannot expect everyone to move their entire transaction in bitcoin

I would not assume that cash is rubbish because basically money is everything we can do anything we want right including investing in stocks and crypto initially using cash then deposit into digital money.
The whole world is currently using traditional money, and of course this is more valuable than diamonds or gold, so no matter how great it is investing in US stocks, I think it's useless if it can't be made into cash.
Agree, how can money that has many benefits be said to be rubbish and even though the exchange rates fall but still, they have value that will still be used for your life and also, any asset will definitely be related to the value of the currency and as low as any value You will still search, hold and even use it. With cases of falling investment assets and the value of any assets that occur, but then surely there will be a recovery that has happened repeatedly, so why should we consider it garbage if later there will be a recovery that will definitely occur.

Cash is trash but on the other point we use cash to buy crypto and everything lol, does this mean that everything is trash too? fiat is the standard means of trading, if you will say that it is a trash then you better be using gold and other metals to transact. You are blinded with the very idea of crypto and digitilization without knowing that these two won't work without cash, actually everything won't be valued without cash. How much cash do you have right now?

Don't ask for stimulus if you don't need it, it's a trash!

We can't live without cash, so we can't call it a trash.
People calling cash as trash does not live in the normal world, no matter what technology will become popular, it will never be as useful and as popular as cash, so no.. cash is no trash. In terms of its of the stock market, can you should some proof or reference that the us stock market are now bullish?

I agree with this, we used cash for so many years and yet you're just calling it trash?

It is a shame when they call cash a trash when they also use it in their personal budget before. You should not look forward to hate cash because digital currency will not exist without the use of traditional cash. Let's accept the fact the we can't live without the use of fiat, digital currency will become popular but it will never replace the benefits and people who are used to pay with cash. Why can't we trust both and don't destroy the reputation of cash.

Cash is not a trash at all because it is still acceptable by many but if you look at its value, then we can say that cash is far behind gold, bitcoin and stock market as well. Those people who are laughing don’t have any kind of investment and didn’t realize its importance. If you want to be beaten by the inflation then go focus on your cash but if you want more, use gold and cryptocurrency.

Cash is never a trash because when we pay transactions traditionally we are using it for so many years.

Now, these digital currencies are only new to the industry. Not all people are using digital currencies but most of the population around the world are using cash to pay everything they need.

Gold and any other assets have their different importance and benefits towards people so if you compare them, you should consider the factors in the market. Just like what you've said inflation, it depends on the situation. But right now, cash is more convenient because not all business are knowledgeable about other assets and they are still ignorant about gold and crypto as an investment.

We should consider those people in a lower class who livew in our society that only recognize the value of cash.

I think cash will be trash for middle and high class people who store their hard earned money in banks and never invest it in asset that retains its value

We are now in a very strange time that we used to do Cashless payments and transactions, but this doesn't mean that Cash is going to be a Trash. A lot of people in remote areas of some countries are relying on Cash because they have no knowledge nor access in the internet or modern technologies.
In the digital world now, in most cities in the world, people can live up without Cash with just tapping their smartphones or computer and every transactions are possible. But, still we need the Cash from time to time and we can't deny it. No matter what kind of situation in life we are in. We still need Cash.
It maybe less behind gold, but its still important to us.

Cash is trash up until we have a moment like the recent covid-caused mass panic across all markets, when no investment is safe, and even gold tanks. Wise investors don't shit on whole asset classes, they understand that everything has its use depending on the mood of the market. It's better to never be a fanboy of some type of investment and always adapt to the trends of the market. Sutbbornly clinging to crypto or stocks or gold means missing opportunities on the other end. But people do this because they just don't want to admit that they are missing out on something.

I know right, but the guy is referring to the cash in terms of investment asset. Of course cash ain't useless, obviously as long as you're using it. The OP's title gives us a lot of misinterpretation on his statement.
This guy refers to always choose investments such as Gold, Stocks, or Bitcoin rather than storing fiat in a bank or anywhere else that can be affected by hyperinflation.

I know what he was referring too, I just emphasize how useful cash is, lol.. just like the OP, it;s kind of confusing about the title but the content of the message will be easily understood.

That's why I ask him about .

I'm not familiar with us stock market, is this the one(https://money.cnn.com/data/us_markets/)?
