I think we are heading right to a cashless society ,
When the crypto currencies become so popular and almost everything could be paid in crypto's then I think Fiat would be useless when that time comes.
I think there would be only few people who would still use Fiat .

This may be not so distant in becoming a reality in the future. Cryptocurrencies have risen in user interest lately, and everyone has been paying close attention to their progress in the mainstream world. Banks and governments have been exploring the benefits that Bitcoin's underlying blockchain technology provides, and have considered to make digital currencies of their own. When they start doing this, they might educate people to begin using cashless payments.

Before we know it, people will quickly adapt to buying and selling stuff with digital currencies, and only a small percentage will use physical fiat. One thing for sure is that technology is quickly evolving, and it should only take a matter of time before a cashless society becomes a reality. Nevertheless, one way or another, people would have to adapt to cashless payments as governments use the blockchain technology for their own benefit. Just my opinion Smiley

Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink

This is a great idea and eliminate thief and robbery. if the world will going through with this cashless society, We feel safe in every places and no worries to transact big amount.

For me it is hard to be a cashless society because not all people are technology literate especially those poeple whp are poor or in the lower calss of the society. Those poeple who doesn't have phones, how can they access cashless society. Porr people cannot cope up with those things. So dor me it will take a long period of time before that will be exist but for me they can both co exists sp that would be much better.

It is in favor of people who own a business, payment options are becoming more convenient for them. They are able to complete transactions by simply scanning the barcode using the authenticator of their phone. The problem is if you'll lose your phone or someone took it and you forgot to logout all your account. Is it hard to track people who hacks your account especially using bitcoin wallet addresses.

the concept of a cashless society where all financial transactions and purchases are strictly controlled and every nuance of a person's life is noted and recorded, many cases by implanted chips, sounds like the perfect ingredients for a science-fiction thriller. technology has progressed to the point where "becoming paperless" it can be implemented.

and i believe it is being implemented.

Have you seen Mr. Robot? You reminded me of it.
Well coming to real world, it is not possible at least for next 20 years. No matter how easy cryptocurrencies made the finance but still its scope limited to internet. We need liquid flow of internet to transfer BTC and other coins from one person to other. But if we see current situation, internet is not the bite of every individual. Lots of technical jargon stops the way of utopian society of CRYPTOCURRENCIES.
Cashless society is okay but how about other people, how about people are very poor,  how they manage their life.
People are poor and will not find way to make their lives better will remain poor and when the time comes that we will be cashless and use technology for all our transaction then its going to be more hard for them to get free money.

Technology is power. The government will definitely spend more money on it from servers, machines, securities including the trans to cashless. It already started long before bitcoin was even created, paypal seem to be the first steps. Its not perfect a lot of us are complaining about it begin the playground for scammers.

I do not think that it is not possible but this one is hard to achieve, many things are needed to be considered before making that happen. Digital cryptocurrency relies on technology to be used unlike paper money. We do not need technology in transactions of using paper money. Many people do not rely on technology and many people do not have electronics to use it. It also relies on the access of internet but many areas are still not reached by internet. If internet connection goes down then bitcoin cannot be accessed.

I don't think that it will work for a long run, it comes from a number of adjustments. In fact, a lot of problems are possible to encounter. Obviously, it runs thru the internet so without internet no transactions will happen and no opportunity for Bitcoin therefore. Not everything are capable or has enough knowledge to engage in this changes, it will hard to adjust themselves especially they were born in a society that is using tangible currency.

I think this would be really great,I mean we don't have to carry cash on where ever we are going,
There are some people who are always forgetting their wallet on their home because they are in a rush .
But there are also a down side in being a cashless society hackers could easily hack your money .
- Our money will not be guaranteed in this society, it's too convenient for hackers to attack and steal, I really do not want to live in anxiety every day, and I believe many people have the same thoughts as me. In addition, cash is very convenient for the transaction, without it, everything will become very troublesome, some people are very hated using modern technologies, they prefer the traditional as cash, society will change but there are many things that will not change to create stability and balance for society

I do not think it really offers greater security, for a long time there has been a kind of "digital money" which is the revision and possibility of making transactions with fiat money through our bank accounts. In addition, a few days ago the first armed robbery of bitcoins was executed, do you really think it will be safer? No. That will not happen. What is certain is that it would benefit us in other ways, such as the ease of making immediate payments, acquiring better income, those that have bitcoin or cryptocurrencies reserved from the first years, currently have a large percentage of monetary funds in their hands. If I believe that we will reach a kind of digital economy and I agree with everyone except that it will offer us more security.
At some point cash less society has a great impact as it will make our society becomes easy and Hi tech, but still it is not an advantage all the time, just imagine those beggars or poor people who cannot afford to have even a cellular phone so they can access it right? So, it is better if we will have just an option either cashless or not.

Cashless society would be very convenient to all of uss but there are many things to consider and improve if ever this will happen, before we can have a cashless society everyone should have a gadget that they would use for every transaction they will be making, an access to the internet wherever they are, new and improve payment system for cashless transaction, but this will only be possible for the next 5 to 10 years if the bitcoin is still popular as it is now.
