Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink

I believe fiat relies on gold reserves and once government govern crypto currency or once someone govern it, it will ruin its main purpose of being decentralized.
In my opinion, till the time bitcoin will not be legalizes I think bitcoin will be having a very good era as it will remain independent till then. Once, the government declares it to be legal then things will be very much different like you said and then there will no more decentralized or tax free thing. It will be directly under the control of government and that is something alarming.

I don't know if a cashless society can work in a third world country where there is so high number of poverty. How can they adopt to cashless society if they have problem earning their money. Cashless society will work for a develop country like the USA and other rich country.

Yeah its true its hard for the poor individuals to be a cashless society . It is because how about there income where they are going get it if they dont have permanent job. And in terms of internet job like this bitcoin earning they need a complete identity to withdraw their income.  The wallet require some identification proof in order to withdraw and cash in. Regardless if they have but, how about if they dont have. I believe that it is not that possible in the other country.
I think it's fine with me if we do that cashless method because it is indirect but much better because we don't bring money in our bags with such big amount inside. Considering the convenience of people who work online conpanies,it is a better idea to have a cashless society. On the other hand, who works in governments I think they don't need the cashless way because they want direct payment for their salary and they have immediate needs because they also work more than 5 days a week sometimes if they are fully loaded.

The revolution of digimoney is already started it is growing day by day so max of cashless society it possible very near in future.
Do not confuse cash elimination with paper money elimination. Living in a society without paper money doesn't mean living without cash. Digital money is cash, Bitcoin is cash.

Living in a cashless society, on the other hand, means something else. It means living in a society without any of these possibilities.
It is nice to be different but not this much. Here cashless clearly means a society where there is no concept of paper money at all. Cashless society is the one where only plastic money or digital currencies will be used. Well I agree with you in this regard that we cannot survive without paper money at all. Paper money has been there for centuries. Digital currencies will be used together with paper money in the coming years.
Cashless society would only be possible on a certain place but not totally on global thinking off that we do have lots of different currencies on each country which means deciding to go on digitize thing would really be hard and also if government would decide to create their own coin or e-currency then its their choice and im sure cryptocurrencies wont really be consider on this one.
It is possible on having a cashless society without eliminating fiat currency at all. But the main set back here is how will all of the people adapt in such society? Especially the older generation who are less technologically inclined. It won't happen overnight but it can be a gradual process like what cash cards has done now.

The foundation for the Mark of the Beast is being laid even as you read these words.  The precursor to the seven-headed ten-horned empire that will spawn the Antichrist and the Mark of the Beast is actually busy developing the means to implement the final global economic system even before the Antichrist is revealed.  And as it turns out, this early preparation is absolutely necessary.  In order to successfully develop an economy where some kind of mark validates an individual’s ability to buy or sell, an extensive control network needs to be set up and operational worldwide.  If the system was not all encompassing and completely foolproof, it would be too easy to get around the requirement for the Mark simply if the buyer and seller agree not to use it.  To prevent this obvious loophole, it now appears certain that the Antichrist’s system will completely eliminate the physical transfer of money (paper money and coins) and will replace it with a currency system associated with the Mark of the Beast (Rev. 13:16-18Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).  To authenticate the transfer of value between a buyer and seller, there will have to be a behind-the-scenes operation that will authorize each commercial activity and then transfer the new currency between the parties.  If the validation is not successful, then the transfer of money could not occur and the transaction would fail.  From our perspective today, the system of the Beast is developing to involve digital currency and an authentication process that is done using the extensive electronic capabilities and networks that have been put in place over the last generation.  These developments are leading the world to a cashless society where everything will be controlled.

We need to diversify in between a cashless society dependent on decentralized crypto currencies or based mostly on government managed approaches like Fiat funds credit rating cards.A govt controlled cashless culture would be a nightmare simply because the system could completely manage virtually everyone, although a decentralized crypto currency based cashless culture together with something else bodily and valuable would be a aspiration for most men and women.

Abiky i believe a paper currency less society is possible but not in the recent future. First of all this will require universal free internet access which will not be possible until probably thirty years time that is even if the developed world is ready to make sacrifice to help the less endowed get to that le

Indeed, first thing first every people in the world will not be 100% will rely here, we should consider the fact that not everyone wilka cceot technology as their statr of living, and cashless society gives a person a limitation, in the sense that bitcoin reqyires gadgets and internet, we as users we should bring it everytime we are open in payment or daily transactions it limits people in the sense that for you to buy thing you must have a gadget and WiFi obviously and it will be part of your life which too hassle for me,

Yes, I still believe that in the near future, digital money will completely replace the cash. But in order to do so, a monetary revolution or a new, or new, human need is needed. Such as fast transaction speed, limited theft, high security, limited the money laundering, illegal transactions. But what is most needed now is to make Bitcoin more popular or popular in schools, neighborhoods and cities in the future.

I think a cashless society will not be possible in the next 20 years. The government and the banks as long as the people need it, they will be with cold cash and easy ways to get people in this business. But we need to do it away and we still need a lot of things that need to be done. As long as bitcoin is not widely known, people will not use it for long. Do not worry about the instability of its meaning.

Cashless society is a good concept but,it far from reality to be implemented. It seems practically very hard to do so.This is because there are still lots of illiterate people world wide who don't know about digital transactions. They are still satisfied with the paper currencies they use.

Even in india, the government tried to convert people in to cashless transactions by devaluing high value notes so that they would be forced to use digital transactions. But that scheme turned out to be a great disaster totally ruining the whole economy of india.People suffered due to lack of paper currencies but, they stilled managed to stay away from digital transactions.

So,its a concept far away from reality for atleast developing countries.

I believe that in the future every thing will not be entirely non-cash, because sometimes it is good to come to feel paper cash in your fingers. In addition, the authorities desires to handle the entire process.

I don't think cashless society will be implemented on the upcoming decade, Because some people don't yet recognize how it works, They are more preferable to traditional system of payment due to lack of knowledge in modern generation. Speaking with computers, Not all people capable of using computer due to its poverty condition, especially people located away from electricity. How can we manage to educate them if we don't have also enough resources to spend time with them.

Govt. are in favor of block-chain technology...what they oppose is DECENTRALIZED block-chain. Converting Fiat currency in a digital form on block-chain will definitely going to help in reducing frauds, Scams etc. Even there would be a control on corruption also. It will reduce the NPA's of the banks and Loan repayment ratio will increase. Being transparent at global level will improve people lives.
Bitcoin could exist at that time also because people who want to hide their unethical money from the govt. have no option than owning a decentralized currency. But surely BITCOIN would be illegal at that time.
