Crypto-exchange checkers won't just scrap random data somewhere so there is a valid source.

As long as it is not CMC then that's true. CMC scrapper is terrible. They even list Vindax as the top exchange with a distinct wash trading.

I'd instead use Coingecko, their Trustscore is reliable, at least for now. It tracks the order book depth so you'll know the liquidity and not the (fake) adjusted volume.

Yes, I got the picture. That's why I suggested to OP to make a comparison at each of those site checkers to somehow make his own evaluation about the exchange he is asking. In that way, he will not just rely on the much popular CMC in terms of checking volume concerns.

I also preferred to used Coingecko compare to CMC nowadays.

Hello what are your experience with Cat.ex exchange? Any insight information about their real volume and are the trading competitions legit?
no idea about this exchange never heard and use it before.
About the 24 volume and trading pair you can check it here https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/catex?utm_content=catex&utm_medium=search_exchange&utm_source=coingecko

Upon finding information about them, I landed on ANN thread here in the forum which they were actually dong bounty campaign where they paid CATT tokens to their participants. Unsure what happened but they already lock the ANN thread but they are also offering daily dividends to the holders of the coins just like the new exchange projects concept like Vitex. Interesting they are not actually the first to have offered dividends to token holders. My guess is that the holders of CATT are trading there.

The catex.io exchange, if you are referring to it, looks kind of sketcy and as you've noticed the volume looks kind of big for a less popular exchange. I'm not a fan of the platform design, it looks cheap and made-in-china if you will.. The trading fee is competitive, 0.10% but it's fixed and you don't get it lowered by having more trading volume. That's a minus. The withdrawal fee is decent, I don't complain about that. I have a rule: if the exchange has a "dice" game integrated into it I'd stay away from it. Are you a casino or a trading platform? Extremely unprofessional..

I recently learn about this exchange when I tried looking into the volume of TRX, I found out its volume are mostly coming from the pairs in Cat.Ex. Check this out https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tron/#markets

Don't know how this exchange got the trust from users but thats it, I'm not sending documents to another exchange so I'll stick to the current I'm using.

There are 8 TRX pairs available on Cat.ex, maybe that's why many investors turn to Cat.ex and start trading TRX there, but many also say that Cat.ex is a real exchange, but until now I still haven't try it.

...and are the trading competitions legit?

Do you mean this? 50,000 NewsCrypto (NWC) trading competition coming

For this trading competition, you will need decent funds to compete. If you have some coins already deposited on that exchange, it's worth to try. But if you are just a newcomer and just want to use the exchange because of the competition, I think it's not a good idea unless you understand the risks. About the legitimacy, they are legit* but for the competition, no one knows if there are flaws in the process.

Any insight information about their real volume..

As for the volume, I can fairly say that is decent. You can check their exchange stats on some of the site checkers and do some comparison by yourself.

I have used Catex exchange when I sold CAT tokens as a result of prizes, in my opinion there is no problem with Catex exchanges and that is a valid volume, I exchanged with CAT to ETH at the time of withdrawal and deposit is also very short and does not wait long.

You meant catex.io right? If so, I could barely find any reviews concerning this exchange.

Here's the thing. There are already a good number of reputable altcoin-heavy exchanges that we could use(Binance, OKEx, Huobi, etc). So unless this exchange has a certain coin/token that you want to trade but other reputable exchanges don't have that coin/token yet, why are you looking for a new one?
