sometimes bitcoin is the reason why all altcoins are drops, if bitcoin huge dump then altcoins will dump as well, and another cause of altcoin drops the negative crypto news it will affect the altcoins.
Loss of trust in cryptomarkets were cause of latest altcoin drop. When bitcoin keeps mooning every other day people safely invest to altcoins but its reversed and people lost patience, left their alts.

This is really what is happening and many are selling out of panic because of this fud. If were want to stop this dip then the right thing to do is to stop selling at thus moment because whenever we sell our Bitcoin we are helping the dip.every single token dump... is this because BTC is dropping also?? all altcoin drops. what do you think what is the cause of this dumping price.? i can't sell my EQL token because the price is to low. from .0000095 eth it drops to .0000047 eth.. why is this happening??

There are a lot of reasons for this drop. One is that the market is undergoing its normal cycle and is just doing a normal correction, another is that it ia removing weak hands since crypto is not for the faint of heart. In addition, regulation is trying to catch up and is having a hard time since crypto is fast evolving that is why they are being aggressive and applying hard brakes for us to atleast slow down and let them catch up. Also, there are also the old people who are scared of what they dont know, and is afraid of changing the status quo wherein they can say who can make it or not.
Well, it's because of bitcoin all of altcoins may drop. I think that's the one reasons these altcoin going down.

The drop is because people who don't understand blockchain and crypto and have invested into what they think is a "get-rich-quick-schemes" are suddenly finding themselves unsettled by toothless barks
This dip is caused by the news from India that government will ban bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. But the fact is that the news was misinterpreted as the finance minister of India told that It is not a legal tender. Still exchanges are operating smoothly. Next China Ban followed by South Korea ban all FUD. The positive is that market has absorbed all FUD. In next few weeks we can see good rally in bitcoin followed by altcoins.
The dump was caused due to negativity caused by news in main stream media about the ban of bitcoin and cryptos, rapid reduction in market cap is the reason in the dump in price of most of altcoins, personally i think that the market has absorbed most of the negativity already and we may see it recovering in coming days.

It's something everyone speculates on but can never really point, just like when the price goes up. This is the natural flow of markets, up and down in trends. Look at all the stock markets all over the world tumbling just like crypto. It's basically just a transferance of panic and fear. And for crypto, the only real coin to look at is Bitcoin. Outside of individual progress, all of crypto, every single token and alt coin, depends on Bitcoin's performance. When it goes down as it has been, then you see this decline. Recover like it is doing right now, and alts also do the same.

May some individuals especially those who are hated crypto will continue spread FUDs that really give a huge impact to the crypto community which make weak believer will surely losen their trust. Since we've notice that market today are started to grow, it is an indications that FUD's may over. Do it so hard to recover quickly but still believing it will fully green in few weeks from now.
A very large amount of scared money. Easy for such weak hands to dump at a loss with no regard to satoshi or usd value. I believe there will be a crypto slingshot effect in our future after the culling.

It caused by we are in the bearish time of crypto but i think that this is only happening for once in a year. I was seeing some previous chart that gives a lot of explanation regarding the latest condition of crypto and it seems like we are still at the bottom of crypto. Bitcoin gives a lot of impact to another altcoin. Because the price of bitcoin was correlated with altcoin. 
Specifically because of many FUD's that keep popping, literally if bitcoin is in dip most of altcoins are in drop too I think that is fairly to see how the market goes.
I think it is a good time to buy some dips cause there might be a bullish run because of this drop. Prefer major altcoins on buying they are good to hold.

The best stance really as of the moment is to hold your investments and wait until the prices goes up again once confidence has been restored on Cryptos. The whales are definitely doing something else now since they cannot really do anything right now.

FUD and weak hands.
Several months ago, cryptocurrency got a huge injection of funds. However, those are from new investors who doesn't know much about the crypto volatility. They panic easily (weak hands) and cash out when market start to go down triggering an avalanche. What remains are the ones who understand crypto and those like you who are itching to sell but can't (another form of weak hands).
We are in recovery mode now but it will be slower since half of the funds are gone. Crypto need infusion of cash to grow and hopefully this time it will be "organic" and not a sudden surge from a massive group of ignorant investors (like before).
