^when you suddenly can't login Wink

Thanks Finksy for support, I'm still planning to sign a message but am migrating computers lately so wallet.dat files are unsynced and don't play nice with mycelium.

BTW: any suggestions for a good client that ideally doesn't need to download/store the full chain as a prerequisite to sending transactions? I wa using an ancient version of bitcoin core (don't fix what ain't broke logic) but a new computer means a new client installation.

Tldr; signed message hopefully over the weekend. Until then, feel free to maintain your scrutiny as I'm no different from an Australian douchebag pretending to be satoshi  Tongue

I can vouch for the klondike_bar_recovery account being klondike himself, I have spoken with him after his account has hacked.

it was signed with the bitcoin wallet, if that helps. not sure why it may verify only with some methods and not others (perhaps spacing or the "/" or "<" symbols causing it problems?)

doing a bit of research, it looks like this may lead back to the BTCT hack last year - sould i assume my email/password combo are known to whoever took my account? why now?

edit: i used the "bitcointalk account appraisal" site about 2 weeks ago out of sheer curiosity since theres always accounts for sale/auction that are far less spectacular than mine. But i really have no intention of selling it, as it is my main avenue for cable sales. perhaps there is some link between using that site and somehow identifying myself as an account worth hacking?

What verifier were you using suchmoon? I was using coinig.

Blockchain.info wallet. Coinig didn't pass for me either. Perhaps characters like "/" are messing it up.

Ive already messaged theymos with my actual email to get the ball rolling, but i want to get visibility on this issue.

please dont buy anything from my account (or the account itself) until this is resolved. Also, please dont leave additional negative trust feedback. some is already left and should discourage account buyers. i dont want anymore negative feedback left because itll just be a massive PITA to get undone once i regain account access and go back to my normal posting routine about mining and PCIe cable sales.

I mean unless they provide actual staked address they been using only for that account the longer the better.

To actually sign a message for it - then that basically avoids the hassle to see what you saw.

And if the message can be verified by you checking it..
