WOW, that's just insane. People, for sanity sake seriously go buy another video card for your rig and use another miner to gain the extra hashes rather than spend $260 a piece of code that'll be obsolete in a few days. You'll at least be able to recoup some cash by selling the hardware when all is said and done. Oh not to mention that SIGT mining difficulty is rising significantly.

Then dont sell the coins at a cheap price. I notice it took a few mins to drop to 0.00001480 yesterday.

I actually *like* 1 or 2% devfees - the more the dev can optimize the miner, the more people will use the miner instead of competing alternatives, and the more the dev will make in dev fees, motivating them to continue maintenance on it. Plus, no initial investment for me.

Sharkcoin(quark) was profitable for months/1 year? on the NVIDIA cards. I managed to reach 30MHASH on the gtx 980ti, and most of the of the last opensource optimalizations I did was for the quark algo. x11-x13 was dead when the wolf0 bins was stolen and leaked. 90% of the miner used AMD cards back in 2014-2015?

On a crap like this sp_ makes more money by selling custom versions to noobs than mining all by himself, money can buy you a nice shiny 1080ti but not understanding how this ecosystem works. Rinse, repeat.

Again, I have nothing against sp_. Loads of stupid money floating around here, it would be even more stupid to not to grab a part of it.

Why not ? There are plenty of code generators used for forums and other similar tasks , not hard to link it to buyers email list , email being used as login and password to start the miner is the code generated that can be obtained only via loging into email . A little work but will decrease the pirate usage of miners almost to zero .

Devfee like Claymore benefits only Claymore , very bad and selfish method , when everyone gets a bump in speed for free from openly available miner theres no benefit for anyone other than for developer himself of course that gets his 2% from millions of miners . How some people fail to understand such simple things is beyond any (lack of) logic :/

And I bet it won't be the last, considering the popularity. And it is still more profitable than all of the popular algos anyway, even if that changes with every passing hour (but then the price may reflect it at some point).

How would that help, I have miners in the office, back at home and I host two rigs that I can manage as well. I men IPs are not going to help much in such case, not to mention it is a bit far stretch to track them.

Track record wont help if they share it and someone shares it ... with public. Well, at least he'd know who leaked it.

After I saw those links under the video few pages back, I agree that you should just put 2% in the miner and be done with it. Your incentive to pull better results would be there as 2% from higher hashrate is better

2% from a miner that s roughly 30% better is like 28% better, and that's still a lot better.
