I've dug around and it says the windows x86 binary is faster than x64 but I fail to see where the binaries are. Do safe ones exist?

You were paying for improved hashrate on groestl and myr-gr. Both are improved over SP or Epsylons ccminer for instance. You expected myr-gr and groestl to have the same hashrate. Oops. Guess after you bitched at him he modified it so it would be easier to understand.

From my side, that's worth money even if he didn't do all the work. I can't copy paste methods for xalgos from your github into a miner.
Also it wasn't just for Maxwell, pascal as well...

The alexis miner cannot mine groestl
For the my-gr sp-mod it was modded from ccminer 1.8.4 and I get around +15% faster than 1.8.4. (my mod can do 75MHASH with oc on the gtx 1070)
For every mod I make, the opensource might be optimized further. Then I need to do another mod with more speed.

Both are improved, one gets less speed then the other due to the way the algos work. Myr-gr and groestl have never gotten the same speed. Hence if you just plugged those numbers into whattomine and expected to make $10 a day because that's what it said you are indeed a fool.
New miners in general seem to be of that class.

But the issue of confusion among the groestl algos is real.
Groestl and Diamond-Groestl use the same hashing functions but different merkle root encoding. They are not interchangeable
but produce the same hash rates. Myriad-Groestl uses diferent hashing functions and produces a higher hash rate.
