ICO? Not even once.
ROI reaching into the two year spectrum, revenue going under $1... Cryptos have acrewed too much hype and now we're buckling under the weight of all the new hobby miners and affluent individuals trying to look clique (there is a thread right here in mining altcoins). Armageddon is nigh.

BBR and Pascal could still use optimizing. That's definitely a open window... Otherwise, there isn't much left unless something new comes along.

Actually considering selling off some of my rigs to buy antminers.

If you're ROI is reaching into two years already (just heading into a dry period) you might be a plug and play hobby miner yourself. I'm still below 1 year to ROI currently (including the cost of the rest of the rig per card) even with 970s with $0.13 kWh.

So where did all the Zcash hash go? It lost 20MH today... It didn't move to another coin from the looks of it. Is there another big coin out?

Quite possibly AWS instances that are no longer worth it.

someone have a comparison between the 1060 3gb and the 6g version? is the 6gb version 10% faster on all algo?

Hi
I tested it, in Zcash is 8% faster the 6GB version, not worth it, i finally buy 3gb g1 versions, but they are less power efficient than the 1070, but at half the cost, they produce about 50 more two 1060 than one 1070.

so, depends on  your power bill/cash availability ratio hehe Grin

yeah i'm building another rig with 1060 this because i did a simple math with the current profitability and the 1070 is not good anymore

the difference in profit between a 1070 and a 1060 is very low now, it's around $15 per month with 0.16 cent electricity

$15 per month but you pay $200 more for the gpu, this mean 12 months roi to overcome the difference

the 1070 was good when a single one was doing $3-5 or more per day not $1.5 like now...

Exactly the reason i decide to go for 1060, at 1.5/card/day today it is very difficult to ROI with the 1070, i love that card, the power efficiency es incredible! but it costs way too much for today production returns.

right now i'm just replacing the remaining 970s i got for 1060 and waiting for VEGA 10/11 to come out with HBM2, hopefully at a good price.

about the chart posted by giagge, it is way too high from my tests:

example, at top efficiency, zcash with 1070 is 375 Sols, zcash with 1060 is 255,  ethereum with 1070 is 25,8 MH, with 1060 3GB is 18,7 MH
always at top efficiency (hash/watt ratio) no-OC.

I have 29 mhs with gtx 1070 on ETH , PL 55% +150 gpu +600 mem , use claymore .
I operate the cards at the lowest possible power level, you are at 55%, a lot higher than i am, and you are overclocking something i never ever do.

i will test claymore miner, maybe it will give me some extra hash  Grin , but power here is very expensive so... i care most about maximum efficiency and card durability.

not sure about vega 10 rx 580 and vega 11 rx 590, look like they will be expensive card to match 1070 and 1080, the difference in performance would not be that far

Anyone have a table for difference mining performance with gtx 1060 - gtx 1070 - amd 470 ? I have interest for all algo .

You can try Nicehash's calculator for that.

I dont have a comparison unfortunatelly, but I have also been interested in this and it seems that the 6gb is more like 5-7% better. 10% difference is probably too much. But if anyone knows more please fix me Smiley

then not worth the extra money i think

not worth more than 0.01 imho, if i add even a single rig i would kill the profit, or i need to wait for someone else to leave

to buy back 0.05 with a single rig you need more than one month, you need to factor the difference with other algo, which is something like 0.0015 per rig, a joke...

People who donated for the spreadminer back in 2015 still get free updates.. Some have mined spreadcoin since the beginning, and making huge profits...

A private kernel without a fee can be used when there is nothing else to mine. If you have a few rigs, you should support my work on the NVIDIA gpu's. I gave you pascal +20% and skein sp-mod opensource for free. Please donate and recieve private kernels..

Down all the coins go... Batten down all the hatches, prepare to go full submarine!

As it's been for the last month or a bit longer then that, it's better buying ASICs right now then GPUs.

What is profitable today will change tomorrow. If you wait a couple of months, nobody is talking about myriad and groestl any more, and they are minable.

Not only myr-gr is modded. Groestl as well.
Diamond is paying more than $2 with my mod..

Myr-gr and groestl sp-mod #1 0.05BTC.

Still a chance to earn more than $2 per day on the gtx 1070 with the sp-mod private kernels.
