Yes, Cebu is one of the best option outside metro manila and a great gateway to other islands in the Philippines. There are also many attraction there, to beaches, falls and mountains for nature tripping. I think Cebu has a fast internet connection too perfect for digital nomad like you OP.

Oo tama ka diyan kabayan dahil karamihan ng mga crypto events ay ginaganap sa Davao pero hindi ako sigurado kung mabilis ang internet doon. Pretty much almost everywhere in the Luzon(probably not Visayas and Mindanao for safety reasons, rebels and stuff) area is great as long as you don't go too deep into the province, as you might have problems with internet speed/stability.

My tips:

If you like the city life, then go to somewhere in Manila or Cebu.
If you like to stay in the province but still want access to some malls and such, go to the Pangasinan province.
Baguio City if you prefer colder weather.

Cebu is a good pick though. Huge ass city with a great provincial area.

I think we have someone who is crypto enthusiast who is not Pilipino but currently residing in our country, If I'm not mistaken his name is Nutilda. Cebu City is not that bad, but if I were you I preferred Davao City as it got listed on the safest city in the world.

Stay in the downtown where you can access everything from nearby market, malls, restaurants, hospital and red lights. Probably Gorordo Avenue near Ayala mall. There are quite villages in Gorordo especially going to UP. Cebu is a small City where foreigners just walk around, you can easily find an expat community there in Cebu.

What country do you live? For sure you are foreigner . Im not living in the city of Cebu but that is place for you I think.
internet here in my place now is slow and I don't know if the internet there is good and very fast to use.
For sure all the question you put here will be answer of the cebuana because they live there.

Cebu city is one of the best country in the Philippines and that is the beautiful place and civilized also.
The interner for sure there is fasr but not like really fast in the other country who faster more.
I really good to know that you are moving to the philippines this is one the good choice anyway when you are moving?

Cebu is a good option. But I'm afraid the city proper itself is not recommendable. Try the outskirts of the city proper. It is where there's less hustle and bustle of city life.

I also suggest to live up to your being a digital nomad and jump from one island to another. We have thousands of them. You will eventually come up with the best in which you might decide to settle for a long time.

Hi, I assume you're not a Pinoy. Cebu is actually a good place and it's getting more urbanized and you just have to choose the right place in Cebu which is very accessible and has internet access. Just stay or go near to Metro Cebu, IIRC it's Cebu City.
It's like Manila or even more than that because of nearby beaches.
