I remember sometimes ago when DJ Khalid was sued to court for promoting an ICO on his twitter page, so later after the advert the ICO was used for shady business and they moved away with some peoples money, the truth is, crypto is shady, the market can afford and might have thought about your opinion but no artiste would want to devastate his career, by promoting crypto, knowing that their fans are in danger, because crypto is like an Acquaintance to them.

Celebrities as a single personas, with their personal brands - it's a great way to promote cryptocurrencies, but there are also other examples of crypto-related companies being promoted. For example you have sports sponsoring and there, crypto is really growing. I'm a huge fan of Wolverhampton Wanderers football team and their sleeve sponsor is CoinDeal, a cryptocurrency exchange. During home matches you can see their logotype on bands around the stadium. Imo huge sports organisations being sponored by crypto subjects can bring much more publicity than celebrities.

Not only in Philippines, but celebrities are always attractive figures for local people. People tend to adopt all the habits and activities of their favorite personalities. If famous celebrities will help the users in promoting the crypto market, it would be very beneficial. People will soon adopt the currency and it would promote the Bitcoin. The more users will be added, results in large number of transactions and that would lead to more increase in the price.

Many celebrity around the world in the different countries are using bitcoin but I do not know what is their all names only few.
In my country Philippines celebrity I do not know if we have it but I hope we have so it can help to my country to become more popular to my country. Famous people are really help to the bitcoin community to grow if they advertise it.

It's hard to know which celebrity is using cryptocurrencies in her daily life. But if I have read about some who are very interested in cryptos and have invested in them, my favorites are:
 Ashton Kutcher, faithfully believes in bitcoin, even has its own investment firm, A-Grade. He has also invested in a blockchain technology for sports betting, called UnikoinGold, along with billionaire Mark Cuban.

In 2015, it launched the Bitcoin ATM system, a virtual wallet to trade with bitcoins. Only 6 months later, he launched the app to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. Celebrities are the best means to drive society to believe and connect about cryptocurrencies.

This is the first time i am hearing that Indian celebrities are holding bitcoin and promoting it are you sure they were promoting bitcoin or some token projects as they will do anything for money as advertisement . If you have tweets or anything i would like to see as this is the first time i am hearing this and even Hollywood stars i have seen them promoting shit coins and not bitcoin.

maybe that is also the target of AKON building this "Crypto City" because he know and he also believe that the future of african country can grow with the help of crypto and i hope there are other countries that also Build this kind of project because this is not only for today but for our family in future.we might not experience the mass adoption but for sure the next generation from us will do.

I think many celebrities to use Bitcoin ut most don't do it explicitly because of the stand of the government concerning it. Moreover, as an asset they may not want to disclose how much they own of it because of security purposes.

Yes, Celebrities used Bitcoin i heard many times but i didn’t found any specific celebrities who adopt BTC. A lot of hollywood superstars using BTC and dollywood also. @Nargish Fakhri and @Shilpa Shety both of tweet in many time about btc. I didn’t see others any celebrity talking about cryptocurrency. Top rich Bollywood actor hold almost 300k$ worth of btc. I think all type of celebrities are using btc anonymously.     

Not only Akon, many other well-known celebrities are adopting cryptocurrency including Serena Williams, Ashton Kutcher, Mike Tyson, William Shatner and Kanye West. Celebrities attraction and entry into crypto will definitely boost the market. They have also firmly participated in the funding for Blockchain cyber Security Company. Their interest in the company can be taken s a major source of attraction for citizens. As people love to follow what their celebrities do.

It is really a great thing if those personalities and celebrities will promote the virtual currency. Because for sure they can encourage more people without using flowery words but only through their titles. We all know that thise artist and celebrities will easily caught the people's interest because of their fame.

That's certainly true, mate. While many famous people in the mainstream world talk about Bitcoin, only a few seem to use it. The more celebrities make use of Bitcoin, the better it'll be for the cryptocurrency's adoption within the mainstream world. People will be curious to use Bitcoin once they see someone famous is patronizing it. It's not the same when you and me (the average person) go out on the street to promote the usage of Bitcoin. With support from celebrities, we'll be able to see a higher user base in return.

The Akoin cryptocurrency initiative is quite an interesting project. As far as I'm aware, it's the only crypto which is directly linked to a celebrity for mainstream use. Still though, it's not as popular as other coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. We need more celebrities using "top of the line" cryptocurrencies for their own benefit in order to drive adoption into the Blockchain industry like never before. As long as core features are taken into consideration (such as scalability and privacy), celebrities will find Bitcoin an attractive alternative to existing Fiat. Not to mention, prices would need to stabilize across the market for celebrities to use Bitcoin as an ordinary currency.

While the list of celebrities using Bitcoin is relatively small, there's still hope that it'll grow over time as scalable solutions are implemented. We already have the Lightning Network providing instant and cheap payments to the world. Maybe this will drive famous people (like Apple's Tim Cook or Microsoft's Satya Nadella) into using Bitcoin in their daily lives. Key figures in the mainstream world using the pioneer cryptocurrency, would surely impress crypto enthusiasts and average people alike. Just my thoughts

Only with country have make bitcoin become legal transaction and celebrities wanna promote bitcoin as legal currency payment transaction and become most safety investment assets, many countries not allowed bitcoin become legal transaction and many celebrities not brave for promoting bitcoin to the public.

Celebrities involved with cryptocurrencies the artist like Snoop Dogg, Jhony Deep, Ashton Kutcher etc so many celebrities had invested in Cryptocurrency some  celebrities talked about it to Media and some do not reveal.

Bill Gates also had shown interest in Cryptocurrency he had invested in bitcoin the most popular public figure in the world as we all know. In 2014 he gave an interview. He had told that Bitcoin is better than currency.

I am hoping that because of Akon launching his own currency for his own city. Wow, what a visionary. Not only his own currency but his own town. Amazing. I am hoping this will start some sort of snowball effect with other Celebs around the world and maybe inspire them to create their own currencies or even to just invest in crypto. It will also bring more attention to the masses of people who do not yet know of bitcoin. "It must be good if xxxx celeb wears it" so that will work well.

Indeed, they are entering on this kind of investment since they have money to invest in, maybe they have some good marketers or they know one or many people who share the goodness of cryptocurrency that is why they encouraged celebrities. There are actually lot of celebrities who are using cryptocurrencies,  like famous football player Lionel Messi and a famous rapper Snoop Dogg and also a CEO of one company named Bill Gates and also a famous boxer and a legend Manny Pacquiao. I can say that they have buy or invested such a good amount of money trusting cryptocurrency with all of their heart.

I think the reason why people are concerned about celebrities who uses bitcoin because they are happy that more people are started to know about cryptocurrency like bitcoin. I think you are wrong these people will really add a great improvement to bitcoin's price when they started to buy a huge amount of bitcoin.

Celebrities are often taken as role model by the people. People take inspirations from them and happily follow the activities and works they do. Knowing that your favorite celebrity is also investing in crypto market will attract you toward this market also. I think this will benefit the whole crypto market in two ways, firstly more and more people will come forward to invest in this market by following their favorite person’s footsteps. Secondly, the huge amount of investments made by the celebrities in this market will bring good results.
