ATT has a 2 for $130 unlimited talk and text and 10 gigs data.

Damn it isn't cheap Cheesy

I though that in Poland we have expensive plans ... but seems like not really Cheesy

So UK has got best prices? Or germany?

I was paying 35 pounds in UK for a 2000minutes 2000txts + unlimited Internet and they gave me a phone (LG Viewty - worth 350 pounds (I sold it in that price same day Cheesy - I do not like LG phones .. LG makes good microwaves!. )

And it was 2009! Smiley

I'm on 5GB $30 monthly Tmobile prepaid line. only 100 minutes, but I use skype/ Gvoice for calls.
with prepaid tmobile they dont give roaming on other networks. so it's more limited I think than postpaid Tmobile.

My first contract phone ran out about a year ago and I didn't bother renewing it as I sent all my texts over whatsapp and hardly ever call anyone (they call me). I've only topped up £10 twice in a year and still have £14 credit. I save so much money.

This is what I do. I've got an old battered ex-contract iPhone 3 and it was pointless renewing it since I barely used it. I want to cease using Apple products so will get a new phone once it breaks but I doubt it'll be contract unless it's cheaper for me to do that than buy the sim free phone.

Not at the moment but I'm contemplating doing so.  Especially after i learned you can get the bills separately for each individual but I forget which carrier does that now.  I'll have to ask my bro he wasn't telling me about it not to long ago.

Don't use any plans, just top up your phone with credits and talk, doesn't cost much if you don't talk much, Otherwise of course you would consider getting a plan.

I only use prepaid. That's cheap enough. I dislike longterm contracts. You have much better control of your spending behavior when you pay directly on a case by case basis. You are much more flexible to react on changing conditions, too.

Murrica (not even going to talk about poor Canadians) phone plans are ridiculously expensive and phone carriers there are ripping their clients since no one is complaining about it, it was the same case here in EU Intel half a decade ago, when phone carriers got slammed with huge fines, and consumer organization stepped in, heck countries like France or Germany you can have an Unlimited call sms/mms data plan (3gb of fair use) for 15-20€ VAT included

I have a girlfriend cell plan with my gf. Benefits r good Although I think its a mistake to have signed up for it

Plan with only one bonus number is kinda suxx to my opinion. It's more costly and gives almost nothing in return.

In general, prepaid plans are much cheaper now than contract family plans.  If you are in the USA, look into the Unlimited talk/text/web prepaid plans, that you can find for 30-40 a month each.

The downside is you have to buy your phone, but it is still much cheaper than  contract plan.  You can buy your phone online, make sure it is for the carrier you plan to use, or that it is unlocked.  It will need to be a phone that runs on the same bandwidth as the carrier you choose, for it to be able to get internet at the speeds the company offers.

When buying a phone online, be sure to do an ESN scan first, to make sure the phone is not reported stolen.

Does anyone here use family plans or on regular full price?

I use regular prices and pay it monthly. I found top-ups not working good in my case Smiley

Now I have unlimited calls/texts for ~40$...

Same here.
