Yes, cellphones can indeed be hacked. But your laptop's / webcam's light doesn't make you safe as some of them can be disabled and most people don't even bother with webcam, they can steal your data.
There are several RATs for Android phones which can steal your data, access your camera and more, I'd recommend using open source applications only.

Yeah, they are crafty. I've seen one shown on 60 Minutes. They contacted a hacker and had him hack into the reporters phone. He can listen to calls and even watch through the phone's cam. Thankfully, being small enough means you'll probably not be a target of such surveillance, though they'd still steal and sell your data.

Sure, not only your cellphone but also anything that is connected to the internet.

Just think that your smartphone is full of apps that might be getting your personal info, contacts, geographical information and so much more.

While staying on this forum I want to know can cellphones be hack like Computer's desktop and laptop's? You will see if someone is watching you at you laptop or desktop because the light will turn on right but as for cellphones no you will not see if someone is there watching your every move in your daily life basis.
