The bitcoin price dropped now. Does it indicate the CEO from Chinese companies are selling the coins after they fled China?

Nothing but speculation and guessing

So how many Chinese CEO's need to "convert to Bitcoin and flee the country" before a massive wave of investors create a global Bitcoin mania?  Cheesy

Lol, that is the first thought I had when I read the headline. Fleeing CEO's create the next big rally. Maybe Donald Trump or George Soros wants to flee as well? Wink

First there is no evidence but only speculation about btc being used to flee.

Second, the funny thing about this is i've warned the community many times regarding Chinese business ethics. Yet many ppl here ignored and even voted for BIP that let Chinese miners have power to dictate bitcoin protocol rules. Most even look up to Chinese Btc exchanges like they're even contributing any thing to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's future in my eyes is very questionable.

there are stories about bitcoin n capital controls,  u are allowed to own btc in

China, but the fact it is still illegal is bizarre, and i am being trolled by people

on the books pretending to play dumb,

It's not entirely illegal but its regulated. As far as I know, you can get in trouble if you BTC, but not if you make it throught other ways, then the goverment cant know anything about your BTCs.

Even though there are no substance and evidence that this is happening, we cannot simply discard it as fud. We know China has capital controls in place and Bitcoin can be

to circumvent it in some way. It was also rumored that corrupt government employees from China are using the same method to shift these bribes. The thing is, if this is

happening... most of the Bitcoin community do not support this kind of actions and the majority of them use it for legal activities. Let's just be responsible with the kind of

information we are spreading.  Angry

This is one of the best theories I've come across yet that attempt to explain the recent pumps..

Do you see the pump in China and dump in the West? if the rich Chinese just want to get capital out of China, the price reaction is neutral.

Still interesting possibilities for arb bots.

its already started, somebody must be offering to facilitate the coin for them and set them up at a later stage

with house car and a new identity most likely in Australia,, couldn't really see anywhere else worth going, maybe a

gaded community or the caymen islands

The link in which the story of china megacorps are converting to bitcoin is no where which states that the missing high profile peoples are fleeing the country with bitcoins. OP is just wanted to create some post for signature campaign. the story in link is related to missing of high profile persons are related to their investigation of false doing after they are taken for investigation and they never turned back.

This thread is just misguiding the story link with bitcoin, but when their is nothing about it.

state media report that the executive has been caught up in a government investigation, into insider dealing or bribery, for example. Few details are ever revealed.

The article never mentioned bitcoin. It said that the missing persons could be caught up in an investigation. So they might be jailed to aid investigation, not fleeing the country with bitcoin.

Move On !!!!!!
Due to Chinese capital control, many ppl are transferring their money to BTC and sent out abroad! It is another use case for spreading the Bitcoin!

But such things are not looking good for Bitcoins, as governments may find it to be a money-laundering activity being driven with the use of Bitcoins.

Looking good or not what can we do about it?! Not too much so we should just drop it. To repeat it again, dollar is being used all over the world for the illegal activities, cars as well, etc. If criminals choose Bitcoin that's their problem, not ours!

On the other note, yes I have read an article as well and was confused at first since Bitcoin is nowhere mentioned. So all of this is just OP's theory, nothing more!

Okay, man! I am sorry, I went too speculative, and am very much attached to Bitcoins, so sometimes get too emotional when it comes to something good or bad for it.

No hard feelings mate, I am attached very much to my bitcoins as well! I know how you feel! Smiley

next months will be new ath and really painfull drop

cant wait Cool
You can keep using this strategy hoping for fast gains, until it doesn't happen again and after you think you have sold right at the top, you realize you sold right at the beginning of the next big wave which will indeed correct, but will correct above your last sell order, which means you are left out of the game. In other words, trying to time the Bitcoin market will lead to eventually screwing up badly and lossing more money than just holding long term without shorting.

It could explain these short spikes we are seeing lately... but it's highly unlikely for CEO's to shift that much funds from fiat and it not being picked up, by some bank or exchange.

The vehicle for doing that is possible via Bitcoin... but we will see much more volatility if it was done on a large scale. How much would they have to shift from all the Chinese

exchanges to have a significant impact on the price?

its well know Bitcoin is being used to get around capital cobtrols

fees charges inflation, it avoids it all, so it dosn't need to be

mentioned for everyone to know what the main topic of the

story really is Smiley

No word about Bitcoin, Blockchain or crypto currency in that article!
So this is just extremely wild guesses here!
There might be Bitcoin involved, regarding these guys, but in fact we don't know.
So I don't understand the reason and the need for this thread when OP can not deliver any true facts!

this could be the only plausible explanation, also many are gettig arrested, most likely on the suspicion of getting plans in place to do this  aswell

http[Suspicious link removed]cutives/index.html?iid=hp-stack-intl

and one was the president of of a giant bank,

getting out before the yuan fiat goose is cooked

This article did not mention bitcoin at all. It has nothing to do with bitcoin. Why the tile of this OP mention " converting to Bitcoin and fleeting the country"?
It is misleading and creating a rumour.

Does this forum encourage the creating and spreading rumour?
