This forum has functioned perfectly fine with the rules currently in place, if even I can post comfortably here without worrying about a ban there's something wrong with you.

So what you asked and what we thought is different. You want to open a thread with referral link in your local board about a service is which is already announced in main board? I think it is still a spam. Huh

You think everyone knows english? And everyone understand?

I think the only thing you can do it is create a blog/site , put all your ref. links in that page and after you can create a thread and link your "page" (correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe the best forum board for this type of things is the "off Topic" section.

I voted for "no" , the forum rules are working very fine, the ref link isn't allowed where is the problem ?

Ban is the problem.

To resolve your doubts or to ask you some things:

If a person discover a service from service ann. Or from somewhere and introduce it in local forum by translating, he has to share his ref link in his post. But not the signature section coz we use that section for signature campaign.

"Has to"? It isn't necessary to shar your ref link, why can't you translate without putting a ref link?

In the same local forum, if another person opens a thread about the same service and gives his ref link then it might be accepted as a spam but not first ones.

Not "might", it 'will' and 'must' be.

So, in the local forums, it must be free to give ref link if the thread and service is new.

So what you asked and what we thought is different. You want to open a thread with referral link in your local board about a service is which is already announced in main board? I think it is still a spam. Huh

FYI: If you have ref link in your signature and you are pointing to your signature instead of putting your ref link in the post, it is still considered as spam.

I'm happy with the current forum rules. I think it doesn't need to be changed and it will improve as time goes on.

What is your opinion?

I'm happy with the actual rules; so, I don't feel a need to change them.

You probably should give more info because most people won't have any clue what you're talking about. For those that don't, he wants to be able to post his ref links without having them deleted or removed: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10661224

Oh, really? Maybe is just another of the immature spammers who cannot live with the consequences (ban) of their actions (ref links spam).

Can someone link me to these rules? I have no idea what you are talking about. Last time I checked there were no rules on this site lol. Just don't scam and don't spam. Also ban evasion is a rule as well but everyone and their grandma has an alt account these days.
here is a unofficial list of the official rules.

The OP appears to be upset about his referral spam being deleted.

We aren't going to allow referal spam, even with 100 million votes for yes, this isn't one of those on the fence, questionable, lets hear from the community to decide sort of situations. Its a little bit irritating that I went through the time to fully explain to you, yet you felt the need to make essentially a spam thread, if this wasn't in meta it would be removed as spam. I'm sort of seeing a theme here though, perhaps you should aquaint yourself with what spam really means.
In theory if he made a strong enough argument then the rule would be changed. The administration is fair that way, if a strong argument is made for a change and such change is not going to open the forum up for any potential legal repercussions then changes will be made. The thing is that there is really no realistic argument to allow for referral spam

I was wondering what the topic was myself reading the OP
Was vague anyways looking at it in terms of ref links not really something to encouraged unless it was relevant to a user question
Say X wants to know where to gamble Y replies with a site then ref link they can optionally use if they are interested
Even then it should be in signatures only for most cases anyways this fits in mod power so if they say no answer is nope Smiley

i dont like refferal links to be allowed as it will only increase spam posts...
Ref links should DEFINITELY be banned, except for signatures where they should be allowed. If you are advertising you want to be able to track which user is referring people from signature campaigns, so they can see who is most effective. But if you are advertising your OWN site, ref links are not needed, and advertising other peoples sites should not be having ref links

LOL. OK, I see now. I was going to ask him to elaborate, when I first saw his post, but then I was like, whatever idgaf and just left instead.  Tongue

@olcaytu2005, Just give it up. You won't win. If you don't like the rules, make your own website. The most you'll get out of this pursuit is a ban.  Grin
