Totally agree. Regulations in Iico must be tight. This is to protect investors who will invest. Then avoid the emergence of ico skamm that is utilized by the developers. And avoid the fall of the price of the token if it is already listed on the stock.

I agree, some kind of regulation needs to be done to make the ICO team responsible if they don't make a project successful. I mean its too easy for them right now to scam anyone and then disappear.

Now every person who wants to be associated with the ICO industry just needs to wait for changes in the market regulation rules. I am sure it will happen soon

Maybe the answer is STO or Security Token Offering, they say it is safer and regulated and they are more likely to make a profit for investors if this is true this could be the big switch we are waiting for a long time, it will turn off the switch for ICO if this happens.
That is right, ICO must tighten their regulations on every project token have. It must need to pass through a sieve/filtered every project have to identify whether it is legit or not. That was the most cases that we have seen now, many projects have not yet listed or may be listed but not have an accurate value. Well, as an investor and a hunter as well we will wait for the changes soon.

it is really hard to combat scam projects under ICO-type projects. it is more of investors' responsibility to take care of his investments. since there is no central authority governing these projects, everyone can create and design their own techniques on how to attract investors, where sadly, most of them were built by lies and deceit. it is your own self that is to blame when a certain project fails and lost your money. the process of going after those scammers are tough that you might want to move on instead of dwelling on your failure of detecting their fraudulent activity.

I think the ICO project must be able to guarantee that the token will have a higher price when it is listed on the exchange. Because the purpose of investors investing in the ICO project is to make a profit. But in reality now, many ICO projects where their tokens are priced lower than ICO prices when listed on the exchange.

The ICO revolution started to reach its peak in 2017 but the following year we saw its withering partly because people lost money with the many projects that went into the scam list or those that were just outright failure. Now, we are witnessing the demise of the ICO platform but we also know that this can be a good platform to raise money especially for startups there just have to big changes that must be done to make this a win-win for both project proponents and their supporters who are coughing out the money.

What do you think are the necessary changes for the ICO platform to make it more responsive and more investor-friendly? Please share your ideas and concerns...
As we know, STOs(Security Token Offering) were created to go against scam projects. It would have been more useful if a new system was created without the regulations. This new system is better about security, but it disrupts the nature of the crypto. I have doubts that we can reach what we wish without regulations, anyway if we want decentralization, we should accept "scam projects".

We badly need regulation even those projects that are being run by legit developers are having a hard time funding their project because of investors losing their confidence in the ICO, this is really bad for the economy there are reports that there will be a shift from ICO to STO but we need more information and how will this help investors.

I think that as a result of that period, ICOs are now managed by big exchanges. Thus, the problem of trust is slightly reduced. However, we are still in the big winter season. We need time.

There is really no new way to make ICO more trustworthy source for investors but I think its really on investors if they get scammed off there money ,I know that we still have many fake projects in ICO world but once you learn to invest in legit projects youve ultimately reduced the risk of getting scammed ,I know that even working projects do fails but there won't be any high risk

What matters now is to invest in ICO that has working products and private investment, with private funds it means a lot ,its either bigger companies already invested or the teams themselves so they will make sure to keep the project alive even if hardcap is never reached

Most ICOs are already changing the way it performs, it is turning into STO. This is a good concept that increases the security of investors money. One suggested change should be made like this(+-): "ICO token should be a sale in exchange, after the ICO end, the token should be listed in that exchange for public use. The raised fund in BTC/ETH should be in custody for at least one year and given to the team proportionally for development of the project. This way you can reduce scammy ICOs.

Yes they need to come with new revolution as ICO's have very bad impact on the people because of the scammers, they need to gain trust. I am not saying the entire ICO's are not good, they need to change the atmosphere of ICO's which should be genuine and unique.

Actually what need to change for me is purpose of developer that behind their project, really want to develop their project or maybe short money. I have found some people in my country start new project and ICO, but some of them don't have anything to be prepared, and want easy money from people only.

I suggest you to visit binance launch pad and that is' enough to give you a very interesting idea to give the more protection to the investors. A lot of investors are using it right now. That's enough to answer your question.

Outrightly, there are demise of the scam projects and run away ico because investors are now wiser up than in 2017 when everyone rushed every ico project

Icos have made a lot of successes in 2019; and icos have failed too
So it means that the good projects will always get sold out

What I think about is how ICO is going forward in tightening. Like new rules. To avoid ICo scam. Because someone is very easy to make a very good project but in reality it is a scam project. And investors should analyze it again so that the same thing doesn't happen again. Because all of this is the decision of each person.

the first of course is that the funds are very important to run the project further. but what is very important is how developers develop their projects. I don't think it's enough and it's very important for developers to develop projects again after they are listed on the market, not out of control when they enter the stock market and there are no price changes anymore.
