We cannot change Avatars for the moment mate , It was disabled by choice from the Administrators because there was an exploit or something where avatar was used to hack the forum.
But relax ... they will be available once again on the 1 million Dollar software forum !! which will be available on February this year if nothing changed . (at least this what theymos said I guess)

Changing avatars won't be possible until the new forum is live. New forum software for discussion and list of features. The ability to upload custom avatars was abused by a exploit allowing a user to inject code.

The ability to change avatars was removed as it was a possible vulnerability on the site.

From what I know, we won't be able to change our avatars until the new BCT site is in place.
