maybe that is a common characteristic of fraudulent projects, these characteristics occur if the project they are running has already benefited from funds raising and trying to disappear ASAP. and at that time many people have been fooled. we need a better method for identifying fraudulent projects from the beginning.

Any project that isn't interested in hiring an escrow till the end is fraudulent. There have been projects that have worked half way and then backed out so they also are fraudulent as they collect money, use quarter of it on the project and then leave it half way. This is not the purpose of starting a project and not fulfilling it. If they aren't willing to use an escrow that will not release entire funds till the finish the project but only release as per the expenses, we cannot trust them. Investors also are mainly interested in the value of the coin and we know most coins don't have any value because the project doesn't have a working team interested in achieving the goals set in the roadmap.

when investors and the crypto community already believed, but the team said differently!
- The team did not respond well to the crypto community.
- The team is very shady and does not provide updates about their projects on the telegram & social media channels.
- The team plans to take a vacation
- The team blocked accounts one by one from each community who questioned about the development of the project.
- and finally you are banned in this group  Grin

yeah you're right, they usually do this when tokensales are finished. they have the same pattern every time they want to go with investors' money. when I began to doubt a project and wanted to be certain they always blocked me from being grouped. this always happens maybe not just me.

Actually there are many characteristics in a fraudulent project but what I hate the most when the stake calculation has been completed but the gift of prizes that enter our wallet is only half of what is written in this spreadsheet is not fun, why should the team do that even though it has become our right to join the project, be honest, O team, so that the ICO project will continue to grow.

Some key features of a fraud project, if you encounter it, stay away immediately. Besides, a good project always has enthusiastic support from the project, the way of working and the remarkable news.

I agree that projects that do not have good communication to their communities can be categorized as failed projects. The team developer should respect the community and investors because the community and investors of a project can run and to maintain the trust of both, the developer team must actively provide information

no its not your rights to join thier project but its them because they are the owner  .

they can accept or reject you when you apply  but if let say your already accepted and you saw your rewards already calculated on thier spreadsheet and they dont make any announcement about the reward changes  then its really thier fault if they wont pay as what they promised or written on the sheets  .

you can accuse them by making a scam accuse on the scam accusiation board as long as you supply the format with the correct info/data   .

That is a sign of scam. But until everything is complete, it is definitely our mistake. I have some awareness, that they promise a lot and make sure to list it on some major exchanges.
Those are the common fantasies of fraud projects that we need to avoid.

no wonder if a project offers sweet promises to investors and other crypto communities, because it includes a form of seeking attention so that investors are interested in joining in it. This needs to be considered once again before investing in a project, make sure that it is a good project and you should always be careful. Never accept a large gift offer.

Projects with no active community on telegram, twitter and facebook groups might give us suspicious speculations of fraudulent acts. Some of them had a social media groups, but sadly after the project ended at worst point it will be gone to its lime light. This is too bad if it continues to happen, cryptocurrency will not increase in demand.

And it seems to me that majority of the projects offered in the ICO/IEO/STO market right now and even before have these characteristics.

Well, to be fair with them, if this is annoying to us, they are also annoyed by community members constantly bugging them about the dates of development announcements, or product release, the partnerships that are going to be entered to, and so many information. But since the community is everything to them, they must handle such stuff properly and with cool. The moment a project treats community inquiries, suggestions, recommendations, and the like with annoyance or even hostility, they already failed.

The scammer project team will be increasingly bored responding to their community until finally silencing their community, a sign like this will easily identify the scammer project.

I remember asking a simple question in a community forum and I was removed for no reason. I observed the roadmap and asked why the team ain't following the roadmap. I was holding the coin and removing me from that group made me lose hope on that project, since project development was too slow and team hardly give updates. I counted my loss and dumped the coin.  In essence, any project without solid development over time or no updates to the community  is going to fail. Let's be careful what we invest in.

That's a very shady act from the team removing you with invalid reason. However, you did a good job dumping the coin you are holding which has a high chance of being a shitcoin at the end. There are so many fake projects that are being left behind by the devs itself and the investors.

A well managed and potential project give us a direct directions of where the project is really going by being transparent enough and giving us updates of what is the recent activity, etc.

Good projects often have specific plans and they always follow the roadmap they wrote. I think that if a project clears the investor's question, that project is definitely problematic and you should not learn more about that project because it will definitely make your investment worse. I have encountered a lot of these cases in the past and it makes me feel very depressed and I tend to sell more.

They held IEO, and then lock the token purchased by the investor when the pre-sale or a private sale. Bounty participants will receive tokens 6 months later. Market down almost 500% after first release on market, and Team, they gone. Their telegram group become promotion channel after that.

Haha. These are hilarious. Well these are what you look out for after investing already which I think its a late time to do due diligence on a project. The best time is before investing your funds, what are the red flags you look out for? Some examples are, newly created Telegram and social media accounts, Whitepaper plagiarism, team profile not available for confirmation on linkedin and social media, unreadable smart contract on Github, shady token allocation and metrics and so on

Yes, the above mentioned items of the OP are not the real items to be looked out for before investing in any project. It is already too late if you found out that those items are present in one of your invested projects. But if in case you encountered those items after you invested, you need to get rid of those coins as much as possible, if it has still value in exchanges. Don't wait too long, because you might end up bag hodler of worthless coins.
