Sorry but i don't see the logic in donating bitcoin to charity because they need cash to fund their daily charitable acts and donating bitcoin to them is giving them a hard time of holding. Besides charity institutions are not created to invest or to become financial institution, their objectives and mission are not to hold bitcoin.

EDITED:

Yeah it a hassle for now.

Another question: But what if there is fiat will be disappear in the future and crypto will conquered the world and all payment transactions will be on blockchain system?
So is this applicable right?

Yes of course what else would the organization be able to receive aside from cryptocurrency? But to keep things realistic your scenario seems to be impossible, at our current technological progression I don't think that we will be living on a purely digital payment world not for the next 100 years. Factors such as old people not digitally inclined to some of the people don't even have access to the internet yet. Going purely digital  is not possible as of the moment, and fiat currency will still exist because of that.

At the moment, I have nothing to brag about in terms of charity, but if they tell you that there are such organizations that take bitcoin, then you really will do it, or is it empty words Huh

In the future, if FIAT becomes outdated and outdated, Crypto will replace it as a form of payment. Charity organizations will accept Bitcoin contributions. If this happens, the Bitcoin value will be many zeros.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

I think there are charitable institutions that accepts bitcoin, but ii is not advisable to give donations using bitcoin because the rate varies from time to time and the exchange fee is high, if you truly want to help, you can convert bitcoin to fiats first.

I was actually involved in a sig campaign of an ICO making fund for a charity. Suddenly, this campaign does not pay us anything. The project was still going on but the marketing team can no longer be reached. I dont think wether they are really making it for a charity, ir just making it for their personal interest. Charity with a concept of cryptosystem is not actually bad at all, its just that there is no assurance whether the fund goes to where it should go.

I havent heard any charitable institution in my country that accepts bitcoin as a means of donation but if there is indeed i will not donate bitcoin, instead, i would convert it to our local currency and give it to them.

Actually there are charities that accepts bitcoin and after receiving them they will convert it to US dollars and recording the name of their sponsor on their logbook. Those  charity knows how cryptocurrency works and they know what to do so they will not suffer from volatility. They are not greedy and are not looking for huge profit but they are prioritizing the beneficiaries of the donation.

I don't think that it will happen in the future, that all transaction will also be at the blockchain that is not possible to happen, you know why? Not all of us even the government does not using blockchain or crytpo currencies. It can be just on of our currencies but our current currency will not going to disappear. If you really wanted to donate on a charity then go encash your bitcoin and give to the charity, no question ask.

I personally do not agree on giving bitcoin to charity because why burden somebody to process bitcoin and convert it to fiat when you can directly give them physical money?what if the charity personnel does not have knowledge about bitcoin? It will take a lifetime process before the crytocurrency or bitcoin dominate the world and take away fiat in the picture. As fir now lets be grateful of the bitcoin benefits and share it to the needy.

If there would be charities who will accept bitcoin I would prefer to donate some. There are actually people here in crypto world who would love to donate something to charities, it's just that they don't want hassle that would consume their time.bi think it is easier for them to donate through bitcoin access.
Well actually few months ago if I recall, WHO recommend all those miners to atleast donate some of their Ethereum for people in need, but it doesn't mean that they will accept any crypto as for donation. Maybe they just recommend us to cash out few of our ETH and send it to their charity bank. That's a good thing indeed but if they can just accept cryptocurrencies, we'll be even interested, because some of us too lazy to go through complicated process of giving charity.

There is a saying that you must share things with the poor , if you have two clothes you must share with the person who does not have one, but will you be sharing expensive things too, i do not think so  Cheesy , be wise in doing charity work too as there are a lot of people that need help and no one can single handedly change anything in an instant even with money, since i am a tax paying citizen i would rather give charity through the national currency and the banking system so that i get a rebate when i file my returns rather than giving in bitcoin.  Wink

I do see some charity do accept bitcoin as a donation but I have forgotten which one since there are lots of frauds or scam attempts pretending to be a charity. If you are really concern on donating then why wont convert those bitcoins into fiat then donate into charity? That would be more an easy thing to do and you will able to do the things you have wanted.

That is very good and in modern time we can even expect such development, but in my country, still bitcoin is not as such popular therefore i do not think that any NGO or any other such organization is accepting bitcoin for charity, but in future we bitcoin will become more common in my country then they will also start accepting charity in bitcoin.
